What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
During my undergraduate work I was mostly in medium energy physics and I did a lot of stuff with data acquisition. Of late I've wanted a bit of a change from physics so I'm more interested in exploring more computery stuff, and now I work as a full time developer.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'm rather boisterous and love to laugh and joke a lot. I have a particularly deep and loud voice. Although I suppose the first thing most people notice about me is that I reflect light.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

Well this is a huge category. Some of my favorite shows include Doctor Who, Dexter, Breaking Bad, The Big Bang Theory, How I met Your Mother, Stargate SG-1, pretty much anything by Stephen Moffat, The IT Crowd. I'm also a bit partial to the cop shows NCIS, Numb3rs, and Castle. I'm most of the way through Star Trek (Finished TNG and TOS and am now in DS9 and Voyager). I like The Mindy Project and Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, and if you like those two shows I probably like you.

In terms of books, I really enjoyed the Foundation series by Issac Asimov. I've loved everything by Arthur C. Clarke I've ever read. I like Snow Crash and Neuromancer. I'm all ABOUT Robert Heinlein as well. While not strictly a book I'm a big fan of a lot of Shakespeare's plays. And I really enjoy the work of SM Stirling. In terms of non-fiction I think my favorite book of all time was probably The God Particle by Leon Lederman. I like reading about history a lot, particularly the American Civil War and ancient cultures.

I would say I'm a pretty musically diverse person. Most people say they "like anything but country" and/or "anything but hip hop." I like country AND hip hop.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Nutritional sustenance, air, basic hygene, etc....

No seriously, I couldn't really survive without my phone and my computer. A world without science fiction would be pretty dismal. And I doubt I could manage without science as well. But most of all I couldn't survive without friends to hang out with and work to do.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
I like politics a lot. I like to think about people and how they tick.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?

Just kidding, DnD is Saturday night.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I do not know how to whistle.
