I am a recent widower. To be completely straight forward, I am
trying to re-learn how to date. I know that sounds corny, but I
didn't think it was something I would have to do again. I had a
wonderful wife and a fantastic relationship, but friends tell me I
have to move on, so here I am. As meloncholy as that may have
sounded, I am actually one of the most positive people I know. I
love life and everyone I meet. I am ready for the next stage in my
life. I just spent the last year of my life living in a vegan,
spiritual community, even though I am far from vegan. It was a
wonderful and eye-opening experience and it taught me a lot about
life,love, happiness, and self fulfillment.
On the flip side, as serious as that opening paragraph was, I am actually a bit of a clown. I love practical jokes and stupid movies, and there was a 2-year stretch when I never turned down a dare. LOTS of great stories from that stretch of time. For instance, have you ever given a striptease to a stranger to the 'dueling banjos song' from the movie Deliverance while being spotlighted in front of 3,000 hockey fans. No? I have, and it ultimately almost got me arrested, but it was sooo worth the story. That is one of many such tales, so I guess it kind of makes me a contradiction: Zen meets Chaos, but I have loved every second of it.
My top priority and passion is caring for my three-year-old son. I am interested in meeting people that have a sense of humor and are fun to be around. I don't want someone who takes themselves too seriously, but I am very attracted to intensity, passion, and dedication. Just be able to laugh at yourself afterwards. Life is too short to always be serious.
I am slightly quirky but extremely sociable and occasionally tousle Hollywood-star's hair when I drink...(you'll have to meet me to ask about that one).
