I am intelligent, honest, and a volcano.

My Self-Summary

I try my best not to suck at life on a daily basis. I think I do a pretty good job, generally speaking. I am not really interested in dating or meeting new people. I don't have the time. I don't have the patience. I have trust issues so random hookups aren't really my thing either. I used to have the "Less Trusting" icon on my page but it's disappeared, wonder how I can go about getting it back... In other news - I'm a Mac not a PC and I'm a Marilyn not a Jackie, which is as it should be.

What I’m doing with my life

I am an working actress. I sing, act, dance, direct and sew. I am attempting to teach myself how to play the guitar but again, I don't really have a lot of free time to devote to it. I also like travel and as a result I try to learn a little bit of a lot of languages. A few summers ago I learned how to read and speak Greek, but I don't understand what I'm saying. I'm trying to rationalize going back to live on an island there for a bit. It's quite a beautiful country.
I just quit my day job because it was killing me softly. I still work but it's doing the things I want to do so there is less money involved. I plan on auditioning my butt of for paid theater gigs next year, so I see a lot of children's theater in my future which is fine. I'm also about to go back to school, online, which is exciting and a bit terrifying all at the same time.

I’m really good at

I'm an awesome actress, and I'm a good singer. I dance but sometimes reluctantly. My artistic director says that I've got a kind of cult following doing short form improv which I could take or leave but it's a great ego boost. I have composed some music on my computer for shows, but nothing fancy. I write for fun, mostly short stories, some train of thought and now musicals and plays. I mentor kids, also for the ego boost, and like to believe that I've influenced and changed (or maybe saved) some lives. I used to do karate and I want to get back into it, to get myself into shape and relieve some stress. I'm a good thinker and listener. I love to play chess and I have played international champions and held my own.

The first things people usually notice about me

My hair, my boobs if I'm in a low cut shirt, my smile. Not necessarily in that order. Oh, and I'm funny. Like that dark sardonic wit kind of funny.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

I love reading. I'm rereading How to Ride a Silver Broomstick by Silver Ravenwolf, because I'm on a spirituality and mediation kick. I'm a Harry Potter fan. I also love Christopher Pike, The Celestine Prophecy by James Redfield, Shakespeare, The Hitchhiker's Trilogy by Douglas Adams and Illusions by Richard Bach. I also believe that I can learn how to do anything if I read enough about it so I have a lot of Idiot's Guides and Books for Dummies, although I am neither.
I listen to all music, except for maybe 80's hair and gross out bands. I work and play in theater so I listen to a lot of showtunes. I also like Top 40 and Pop. I've got a Pandora station with Prince, Stevie Wonder and more R&B oldies; another one with boy bands, 90's alternative music; and a third with Pink, Lady Sovereign, and Dresden Dolls. Ferris Bueller's Day Off is among my most top favoritest movies ever, as are Hackers, Fight Club, and Mr. and Mrs. Smith.
I come from a family of eaters, and so I'm a foodie. I like to cook and I'm pretty sure I do it well. I really enjoy making deserts, and I'm one of those people who always tries to personalize a recipe. I am currently working on a quadruple chocolate cookie recipe, it's supposed to be soft bake but the cookies keep falling flat and hardening more than I would like. However, to my credit, they still taste brilliant. I'm not a fan of Chinese food (due to food allergies, yes I'm one of those people) but I do love Mexican, Italian and authentic Greek foods. Mmmm, lamb!

The six things I could never do without

Trust, a best friend (who I can trust, been having a bit of difficulty with that one recently), music, library card, a pet cat and my recipe collection.

I spend a lot of time thinking about

Friends, money, sex and the next move, which right now is more auditions and building a biodiesel car.

On a typical Friday night I am

Working or performing or some combination of both.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

I pick my nose in public. I do not eat the results.

You should message me if

You read this far and still think that I'll care. Which, you know, I might.
