I am a homebody who prefers staying in with a great movie and my pets rather than a night out. I am here to make friends and possibly more... although I'm kind of weirded out by connecting with someone this way. I'm extremely shy and it takes a little while to get me to truly open up, but once I feel comfortable, I am goofy. lol

I am a person who doesn't develop real attraction to someone until an emotional connection has been established. If you have the patience to be my friend first and allow something more serious to develop over time, that's a plus.

I have natural silver streaks in my hair. I'm big and tall for a girl (5'9" and chubby lol).

Books- Right now I'm in love with classics- Les Miserables and Madame Bovary being among my favorites. Walt Whitman poems make me feel alive. I love books with ornate writing, like Dickens and Flaubert. Not usually a fan of dystopian literature. Guess I like happy endings. lol

Movies- Lost In Translation, Bleak House (2005), Les Miserables (2008), Ghost World, The Big Lebowski, anything by Tim Burton.

Music- I like certain artists from every genre. Coheed and Cambria are my number one fave. Been really into bluegrass and Indie stuff lately, though.

Food- I'm a vegan but not a preachy one. LOVE Indian and Mexican food. Basically anything spicy but not too "hot". If I have to sign a waver before I eat it, it's not happening. lol

At home pinning things on Pinterest, cooking, watching a quirky movie, or reading. Wasn't kidding about the homebody thing. :P

I have fibromyalgia and have had to stop working (which really bums me out), and stop doing many things that I love, like running and yoga. It's taking me a while to adjust to being so careful with my body, and I'm in intense pain some days.

Also, I'm bisexual, but list myself as straight here to avoid messages from couples who are seeking a unicorn.
