I am searching, honest to a fault, and geeky.

My Self-Summary

This profile is actually very difficult to write because I have no clear-cut goals when it comes to meeting people right now. I'm hoping that meeting new people will help all of us find new directions and meaning in life. And also, I suck at monologuing.

I'm the kind of guy that:

-Really needs connections in his life, and as such I am much more comfortable with one-on-one activities and conversations than groups or heavy partying. Just as life is a series of moments, happiness to me is the connections one has to the world and other people.

-Enjoys a good, meaningful conversation, like the kind one might have in a quiet coffee shop late at night.

-Likes fun one-on-one physical activities like swimming, racquetball/tennis, even mini golf or simple walks in the park. Any activity that allows two people to connect and have fun at the same time!

-Is open-minded, honest, and enjoys looking inward as well as exploring the world.

-Prefers a quiet evening at home over the wild club scene. Don't get me wrong, clubs are great once in a while, but nothing beats chatting the night away with a small group of friends!

-Likes to laugh and/or make others laugh. This is key, life without humor is merely survival!

-Is newly Pagan and loving it. I'm still deep in my studies phase and developing my unique world view, but I feel so much more enlightened about life and the universe. Also, Kiva rocks!

-Is experiencing polyamory for the first time. My lifemate Erissama has found someone and I think it's beautiful. Have I always been poly and never knew it?

What I’m doing with my life

I work as a consultant, mostly for pharmaceutical companies and the FDA (doing tech geek stuff mostly). Other than the boring work stuff, I'm looking at opening my mind even further these days. I always thought the world was shrinking until recently, when it just exploded into a beautiful panorama of thoughts, ideas, and explorations! Care to explore a bit with me?

I’m really good at

OK, enough with the semi-philosophical and introspective stuff, onto the fun !

I have a knack for the technical things, I can't tell you how many clocks I've programmed or TIVOs I've set up! I'm the one-man, friendly neighborhood geek-squad. I'm the kind of guy that has that remote worthy of batman that controls everything in the house and tweaks it endlessly.

I'm also (apparently) a great listener as random people regularly sit next to me and tell me their deepest woes and secrets, sometimes without me ever knowing their names!

I love to ask questions. If I spot something interesting about someone, I must know everything there is to know about it (and consequently, the person as well). These days I'm more interested in the philosophical bent of things, but no subject is taboo with me (seriously).

Finally, I collect things. If I like something, I MUST have at least one of every kind of that thing. OK, it's not much of a talent, but it's an important semi-obsession that cannot be denied and is the source of endless hobbies and projects.

The first things people usually notice about me

I apparently have a trusting face (complete with nice eyes, supposedly). People also notice my height right before asking me to get something for them from the top shelf!

Other than that, I tend to allow other people to shine around me rather than trying to take the spotlight myself.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

I can't really state any real favorites when it comes to movies, I like almost everything and it shows by my mountain of DVDs (although I do tend to stray towards Sci_Fi and fantasy)! The greatest tragedy of the modern age is the ill-fated Firefly series, I shall mourn eternal. if you don't know what I'm talking about, you're missing out on a great thing! Don't worry though, I have the DVD set. ;)

My taste in music is also just as varied, although I do tend to shy away from most Rap and most kinds of Country. My love of all things gadgetry is also evidenced by my need to always have one of my fully loaded iPods on hand at all times (recently upgraded to a touch, *drool*)!

Books tend to mimick my taste in movies, with the addition of being a somewhat avid RPGer.

I'm also a huge fan of food of nearly all types and I thank the powers that be for my high metabolism or I could easily be the Michelin Man by now. I rarely, however, get the chance to try new foods, so please recommend something!

Give me chocolate or give me death!

The six things I could never do without

Meaningful relationships, my friends, my laptop, my media collection, my cats and of course, chocolate (especially mocha, my personal ambrosia)

I spend a lot of time thinking about

These days, what it means to be Pagan and poly. I'm new to both, so any insight, ideas, feelings, etc. are more than welcome.

On a typical Friday night I am

Usually recovering from a long work week, typically settled in front of a movie, messing around on the internet, drawing (no, I'm not very good, but I enjoy it), or other of my multitudes of hobbies and projects, typically more than one at a time. These days I do get out more, but there's nothing typical about where I go (Fairy fests, concerts, Ren. Fair, the Folger in D.C., etc.), so who's to say?

Besides, my Thursdays tend to be much more interesting due to our weekly gaming sessions! Yes, I am a geek and proud of it!

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

That I truly earned my nickname back in college, want to know how?

You should message me if

I'm in exploration mode right now. I'm wide open for new experiences, and more importantly, interesting people. Fellow geeks and gamers are are always welcome!

Pretty much anybody who is not scared off by my profile (yeah, like 2 people at this point I'm sure) and interested in exploring life with an open mind, heart, and soul is someone I would love to chat with.
