I am frisky, clever, and happy-go-lucky.

My Self-Summary

I'm a gentleman and a romantic. I'm loyal, affectionate and I think monogamy is hot. I'm a jeans-and-T-shirt kinda guy, but I love an opportunity for dress-up dinner dates. I think life can always stand to be a little more interesting. I'm actually a nice, honest, upbeat guy and I love making new friends, because then my best stories become new as if by magic.

What I’m doing with my life

I'm employed with Providence Health & Services. It's good work with good people, but it doesn't make for really hilarious work stories? Outside of my boring job, I enjoy looking for new sources of inspiration for creative endeavors, like writing, drawing, and playing elaborate pranks on my long-suffering-but-good-natured housemates.

I’m really good at

hugs, badminton, sandwiches, naming stuffed animals, making mix tapes, giving silly movies the MST3K treatment, alphabetizing, and making people laugh.

The first things people usually notice about me

My immediate familiarity. I bond quickly with people I like, so I don't really have much of a transitional period between complete strangers and Best Friends Forever!.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

I don't know, my eyes tend to glaze over whenever I see a huge text-block of obscure band names and book titles, but if you'd like me to supply you with such, I'd be more than willing to oblige.

I'm an avid comic collector and reader, I'm an expert in Marvel trivia, and if you get me talking about the X-Men it might be hard to get me to stop. I read a pretty wide array, but if you have a desperate desire to know more about that, please feel free to ask so I don't have to type silly pretentious things like "I've been branching out into more Vertigo titles lately..."

I love music and I love having it wherever I go, whatever I'm doing. I have a stereo in the kitchen for cooking/dishwashing dance parties and I had a shower CD player until it became irreperably deranged and imploded like the house in "Poltergeist."

The six things I could never do without

I hate this question. I once came across the profile of a fellow on this very website who put the answer "the six fingers on my right hand" (which also happened to be his answer for the first thing people notice about him!); frankly, I don't think I (or anyone else, for that matter) can ever come up with anything to compare to that.

I spend a lot of time thinking about

bad horror movies and the highlights thereof; animals and how amazing they are; my favorite Buffy episodes, superheroes, and/or American Gladiators; my novel that still mostly exists only in my head.

On a typical Friday night I am

going out to dinner, watching movies or just generally geeking out with my housemates.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

I have a fear of video game heights. For reals! If the little man misses the moving gears and tumbles screaming into the void, I freak right out.

You should message me if

you live in Portland, you're not busy or tired or whining about how busy or tired you are all the time, and you get excited about things and don't care who knows about it. But seriously, I love meeting new people, and I'm by no means adverse to friendly conversations.
