My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm giving the online thing a try. These self-descriptions are a bit awkward so bear with me...

Some words that friends have used to describe me: genuine, passionate, intellectual, silly, extroverted, compassionate.

Some things I really love: music, laughing, dancing, art, adventures, people, good conversations, and coffee (obviously).

Music is particularly important to me. I listen to a very broad range of music and find it impossible to answer the question "who is your favorite band?" I really enjoy live music (concerts, live jazz, DJs, etc). I especially love dancing.

I like being outside. I grew up in Colorado where I went camping every year since birth. I also lived in Southern California for several years where I spent a lot of time sailing, ocean kayaking, hiking, and taking short trips to the Channel Islands.

Most of all, I love people: spending time with friends/family, meeting new people, having good conversations, exchanging stories, finding connections, being challenged.

Work-life balance is very important to me. I believe in working hard at something you believe in while making time to really live life. For me, that means I work very hard as a resident to become a great physician while striving to maintain a life outside the hospital.

I smile a lot. Even at strangers. Apparently you're not supposed to smile and make eye contact with strangers in New England. I try to remember not to so as to avoid any miscommunication, but it's hard for me to hold back.

I enjoy classical music and have been to the BSO many many times. I really like the composer Arvo Part. My go to jazz music includes Nina Simone, Billie Holiday, Duke Ellington and Louis Armstrong. I really enjoy live jazz at Wally's. I also frequent The Beehive. A few bands that I have been particularly loyal to include Radiohead, Sigur Ros and U2.

I love to sing. I used to sing in front of people. Now I just sing in the shower and in the car (if I'm driving solo).
