My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I have an optimistic personality rooted in open-minded logic and sensibility.

One of the best things about being a human being is laughter. I absolutely love it. I think laughter can be spiritually and physically rejuvenating so I use my sense of humor whenever possible. This is not to say that I don't take life seriously. I'm very passionate about my life goals but you have to be able to laugh along the way, right? Most of the time the jokes that I crack are sarcastic and at my expense. I do not have low self-esteem, I'm actually quite confident but I really like making fun of myself... or idiots.

I enjoy being friendly and I always try to see the best in people that I come in contact with. Everyone has flaws, but everyone ALSO has qualities too and I think it makes more sense to focus on those.

You will find me very easy going yet always ready for an adventure. I love to hurt myself on my skateboard, draw, paint and sculpt as well as play the piano and guitar. I think it's important to stay active so I am usually on the move. I'm always down for camping or hiking trips, bike riding or just a nice walk. I like snowboarding too. There are so many wonderful things to do in this city and I would love to meet someone who wants to reap the benefits with me.

There's more to my personality but it's not always easy to convey in text. If I could let you hop inside by brain I would but I can't... That would hurt really bad.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I work for the family business in the Specialty Coffee industry and I have bright hopes for where it's headed. ...VERY bright ;)

I am also being the most awesome dad in the world like I always knew I would be. I never forgot what it was like to be a small child and it has helped me relate to my two kids in a way that I can't describe. My kids don't live with me but I get to see them on Wednesdays and every other weekend.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Seeing the best in people and not judging them... especially when it comes to reading their profile. Although I prefer face to face interaction as apposed to online chatting.

Being creative and artistic. I sculpt and draw pretty well and I am getting much better at piano.

Being a good listener because I really don't like interrupting people. The people I've met who like to talk a lot tell me I'm pretty quiet... I tell them it's just incidental.

Building elaborate sand castles... when it's not freezing and raining. Otherwise I'm good at planning beach trips on pleasant warm sunny days.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I've never asked anyone. I imagine it's that I'm a human man. However, if you were able to look inside my soul, this is what you would see:

That I make the effort of stepping outside of myself to observe my behavior in order to be the kind of person that I would want to hang out with.

That I decide to actually LISTEN to the things people say to me instead of just waiting for my next chance to say something.

That I genuinely have a kind spirit and I value love, courtesy, integrity, communication and equality.

Books: Eckhart Tolle, Tom Robbins, Stephen King, Myra Wolfe, Jane Austen, Michio Kaku, Shel Silverstien, Dr. Seuss

Movies: Big Lebowski, The Shining, Harold and Maude, Annie Hall, Back to the Future, Office Space, Payback, Eternal Sunshine of the Spottless Mind, Being John Malkcovich, Inception, Magnolia, and many others

Shows: I don't really watch TV but when I do it's Simpsons, Seinfeld, Breaking Bad and science-documentary shows on History and Discovery Channel and such

Music: The Pixies, A LOT of Roots Reggae from the 1970's and early 80's, Punk Rock like NOFX, Bad Religion, Pennywise, Social D, Bluegrass like Sam Bush, Keller Williams and Johnny Staats Project, other stuff like Leonard Cohen, Elliott Smith, Ween, Velvet Underground, Liz Phair, Tori Amos, Bob Dylan, Otis Redding, Steve Wonder, Smashing Pumpkins, Bjork, Beastie Boys, Floater, Violent Femmes, The Sundays and WAY too many others. I worked at both Tower Records and Music Millennium for several years. My music collection is quite large. Music is something that means a lot to me. How cool is it that this intangible thing that you can't see or touch or smell or taste can do things like inspire people to change their lives and bring on strong emotions and memories and even make plants healthier!? Music, I think, is one of the coolest things in the universe.

Food: I love bacon and anything else that is delicious. I'm really not a picky eater at all. I will eat whatever, seriously.
