My self-summary
Back after a long hiatus!

ENFP, creative type, avid grower and destroyer of beards. First observed in North America during the late 20th century.

I love any and all things creative, adventures, and experiencing stuff I haven't before. Life's too short to sit still!
What I’m doing with my life
During the day I work as a designer who dabbles in art, code, research, and cognitive psychology to make technology easier and more fun to use. It's kind of hard to explain but I absolutely love what I do -- there aren't too many jobs that let you get both creative and nerdy at the same time. Gotta exercise both halves of your brain, y'know?

At night I'm usually reading, playing with my band, or kicking it with my housemates. We have an awesome place downtown where we hang out on the roof, get into philosophy, and engage in literary/film criticism. (Most of the time that takes the form of beers and laughing at bad movies.) I really miss going to shows, I'd like to add that back into this section one day :P
I’m really good at
Creative problem-solving. Empathy. Seeing the big picture. Bringing out the best in people. Cuddles. I can brew a mean cup of coffee/tea, play a handful of instruments, and I'll kick your butt in Jeopardy. I'm also a synesthete, which is like having the world's most boring super power.
The first things people usually notice about me
I'm uncannily laid-back, smile too much for my own good, and can talk about almost anything at length. Blessings and curses, all of them.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: Classics, biographies, books on art, some nonfiction stuff. I've got a pretty good collection going. I recently picked up House of Leaves again, which is definitely a fave. The same goes for anything by Lovecraft, Kafka, Vonnegut, Borges, Orwell, etc.

Shows: Breaking Bad, Mad Men, Arrested Development, Dexter, Rick and Morty, Futurama, Curb, Seinfeld, Sunny, Trailer Park Boys, Tim & Eric, some stuff from Australia and the UK, Archer, American Horror Story, the list goes on.

Movies: The more cerebral, the better. Anything that makes me think or is highly stylized. I've got the opposite of ADD when it comes to complex movies. Psychological thrillers and arthouse films really get me going, but I'm definitely not averse to kicking back and watching Pineapple Express for the umpteenth time. Horror can be pretty great too, if it's done right.

Music: Far, far too much to list here. In my ears, there's no such thing as a bad genre (certainly bad acts and songs though haha), and I'm constantly exploring new music. I must listen to at least one new album a day, you never know where inspiration's going to come from.

Food: Burritos and Sushi, which in a certain light is kind of like a tiny Japanese burrito. So maybe just "Burritos from various hemispheres".
The six things I could never do without
- Ample sleep
- The Vapor Bros.
- A dependable microphone
- The occasional warm evening
- My trusty Civic.
- A nearby source of good coffee. Does OKC still let you do strikethroughs? Because "good" would be stricken out if I could remember how to do it.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
How to get better at one thing or another. Current events. Musical things.

I'm also one of those people that gets all their good ideas right before bed. So if it's late, I'm schemin' hard and doing my best to write it down or record it somehow.
On a typical Friday night I am
in search of stiff drinks and exciting people. Something like that.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
Nearly anything. I'm an open book, ask away (like seriously, get specific if you want haha). I'm definitely somewhere on the dom spectrum, but too nice for anyone to ever guess just by talking to me :X
You should message me if
You're somebody who's chill and can hold a conversation. Other than that I'm pretty low-maintenance. Intelligence really wins me over. Passion, adventurousness, and worldliness even moreso.

Or heck, maybe you just appreciate a good beard and want to go to a show. That's okay too.
