My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
My name is Kevin. People tell me that I'm like a big kid, because I've managed to hold onto a measure of enthusiasm and excitement that is very un-adult. I make really, really, really awful puns, watch bad movies and TV shows and rip on them with my best friend / roommate (and occasionally my next door neighbors), read, draw, and hang out in parks. I'm a bit of a science geek: I'm super into ecology.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I'm a community habitation worker for people with developmental disabilities living at home. I'm also currently about to start pre-service training this summer, to become a NYC special education teacher. I've never been so excited for a job before: I'm really looking forward to the opportunity to do good on a much bigger scale.

Besides that, I'm mostly out with friends, reading books, spending time in museums or parks, spending too much time on the internet, gardening, listening to music and occasionally going to shows. Sometimes, when I'm not worn out by work, I volunteer at animals shelters and parks. I also spend a lot of time drawing: I want to get good enough again to start making comics of my own.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Cooking, drawing if the stars align, making terrible dad jokes, understanding literary references.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I assume my Ben Wyatt-esque frame.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Books: Midnight's Children, The Satanic Verses, The Brief Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao, Invisible Man, The Street, Homage to Catalonia, 1984, Animal Farm, Native Son, most things by Toni Morrison or Gabriel Garcia Marquez, Kafka on the Shore, Slaughterhouse 5, Leaves of Grass, most of John Muir's essays, (and in graphic novels) Black Hole, Seconds, Osamu Tezuka's Buddha series, Will Eisner's Contract With God Trilogy, Hayao Miyazaki's Nausicca manga adaptation (mainly for the art), and basically anything by Gene Luen Yang or Alison Bechdel.

Movies: I like silent movies, corny cheesy bad campy B-movies, and have an almost embarrassing love of Up, Wall-E, and How to Train Your Dragon.

Music: Folk, blues, punk rock, indie rock, folk punk, pop punk, rap, opera, classical music and some pop and old (early 20th century) country. I don't have the time or the inclination to list all my favorite bands, but feel free to ask. :)

Food: Mexican, Indian, Italian, in that order.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Other people's pets (and my neighborhood's stray cats, some of whom I've become good friends with), my friends, coffee, spending time outside, Mexican food, and a good book.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Q: What's The Fonz's favorite letter of the alphabet?
A: Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyy
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Depends on if it's after the 16th of the month or not.

Compassionate, empathetic people are my bag. If you do something that makes the world a better place, or is creative in some way, I probably already have a crush on you but don't know it!

If you're also some magical ideal person who plays folk music, has freckles, like the outdoors and want / have a bunch of pets, I'd lead with that.
