My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I love the role I've created for work. I'm the authority in my niche and sometimes I get my name in the credits.

I have a magical thermos that keeps drinks crazy hot/cold even hours after filling for those chilly/hot explorations.

I've picked up reading some fiction again for the first time since high school.

I'm a bit of a romantic.

I eat the crust first on my pizza and the center bite of my burger last. The best part is always worth waiting for.

I don't watch sports but I'd always be down for going to some. So no need to pretend you like watching yourself.

I love the rain and never feel cozier than during a night time thunderstorm.

Looking forward to patio season.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Love my work, a place I call my own, and family just the right distance away. Geeking out on this, and nerding out on that. Avoiding unnecessary paperwork. I'm active in the motion graphics community in Chicago.
Travel, mostly to the west coast for some reason. I'm trying to plan out a trip to New Orleans right now and a proper backpacking trip.
Going to midnight openings for movies no matter when I have to be awake in the morning.
Gotten interested in boardgames a lot more lately.
Ping pong,
Owning an old lego collection that will make any child you know jealous.
Taking my first swing class in June. That should be fun.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Paper scissors rock

Teasing out anticipation of things I'm looking forward to

Listening and engaging. Getting to the crux of the problem. Figuring out exactly how two people are talking at cross purposes.

Cutting pizza in a specific way to keep it hot.

Fitting everything I need in a single carry-on bag during flights.

Working on an endless list of small projects.

Being able to quote things with high fidelity.

Creating meals from strange leftovers that are delicious.

Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Books: Wheel of Time right now, finished The Selfish Gene, Death by Black Hole, Crime and Punishment, and even managed to get through Atlas Shrugged (couldn't agree less with it, but interesting read).

Shows: House of Cards. VentureBros, Arrested Development, Bullshit, StripSearch, Myth Busters, Dailyshow, Colbert Report, Family Guy, Rocko's Modern Life, Office, Seinfeld, Bob's Burgers, Game of Thrones. Breaking Bad, and working through Archer, and a hell of a lot of great content on Youtube.

Food: Thai! Never had it until I moved to city, obsessed with it now. Italian, Chinese, and Mexican, German.

Movies: Anything Pixar. Groundhogs Day, Kill Bill, Dr. Horrible, Holy Grail, Kill Bill, Hayao Miyazaki films, Bicentennial Man, Alien/s, Terminator, Princess Bride, lots lots more. Oh, and anything by Joss Whedon.

Music: All over the place, my tastes have been evolving a lot lately. Top of the list these days, Caravan Palace, Daft Punk, Gorillaz, Broken Bells, Beatles, OK Go, Macklemore, Mumford and Sons, Parov Stelar, etc. My Spotify rarely has the same artist twice. I love instrumentals too, good for background sound while working. Most of my time in the car is spent with NPR.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Excluding the obvious things like friends, family, Pad Thai with Chinese Broccoli...

Cool underside of a pillow,
A new project to obsess over
Soups and sandwiches

I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Friends/family, work, planning next trip, and my fun projects mostly. I spend a lot of time coming up with theories about the way the world works and how people are they way they are. Kind of an evolution buff and geek out on science videos, in particular evolution. And tacos.
I like to analyze things.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Fighting crime in spandex tights. Looking for someone who can keep up on my adventures.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I have on occasion spelled a word so poorly that even google can't make heads nor tails of it.

That is something in your life that you geek out about. If there is something in my profile you'd like to know more about. If you're looking for someone to go on adventures with or do a Netflix marathon. If you want to explore the city, go see a live version of An Evening with Kevin Smith or Richard Dawkins give a talk to taking a dance class, and anything in between.
