I am perhaps a bit of a francophile - I enjoy keeping up my French and I am always on the lookout for francophones down here in the south. Recently, in an effort to diversify my language interests and start a new side project, I started studying Mandarin (I am an absolute beginner). I would very much like to visit China once my language ability has developed enough.
I enjoy staying active. Just after university I bicycled from Yorktown, VA to San Francisco, CA to raise money for cancer research. These days, I bike and lift (Crossfit) as often as my schedule allows. I have visions of some day doing an Ironman. Not so sure about that one.
I try to read in my free time - no particular genre dominates my attention. I am currently rereading "Ender's Game," by Orson Scott Card. I just finished "The Cuckoo's Calling," by J.K. Rowling (amazing!) and before that I read "The Generals," by Thomas Ricks (interesting).
I'm still figuring out what I want to do with my life, so I certainly don't expect you to have everything all figured out.
