My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm a girl!

No but seriously. I am ridiculous, thoughtful, and according to everyone else quirky.

I'm an avid reader, video gamer and over all entertainment junkie. Movie, shows, dancing, museums, fun crazy conversations at a bar, the library (I was a book once, true story), and really anything mentally stimulating makes me happy. I like stuff and things. I go to quite a few Scifi/Comic conventions, mostly because they are awesome but also to sell my work.

In short, I like to make things, kill computer generated persons, and do things, sometimes with people.

Got it? Good.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Right now, I am working as a recording engineer/QC at a non-profit studio that records audio books for the blind and physically handicapped. Kind of awesome.

I'm also an artist. I work primarily in scratchboard, pen/ink, and print making. I do a lot of commissions and I sell my work online and at Sci/Fi conventions or art/group/gallery shows when I can.

I'd like to eventually have my art be my main source of income but I'm doing well enough for right now.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Arts & Crafts (a lot of them), useless fact knowing, mimicking accents and different voices, and selling people things.

I'm actually really good at keeping calm in high stress situations. I saved a woman's life once. True story. (That's kind of bragging but it's more a if there is a zombie apocalypse, I could totally hold my own... probably...)
The first things people usually notice about me

My hair is green. It also matches my glasses. The glasses came after the hair.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

I love books.
Ray Bradbury is my favorite author and Dandelion Wine is my favorite book. I read mostly fantasy/scifi and non-fiction.
Authors: Neil Gaiman, Terry Pratchett, Douglas Adams, Garth Nix, Charles de Lint, Edgar Allan Poe, HP Lovecraft, Tess Gerritsen, George R.R. Martin, Philip Pullman, Laurie Notaro, Lewis Carroll, Shakespeare (don't hate), Jane Austen, and so on. I can and have read about 200 books in a year, so I read a lot.
In terms of non-fiction, I like books about nature, evolution, and psychology/neurology. I've really gotten into American history lately from books I've read for work. Girls of Atomic City and Lions of the West were the stand outs.

I love movies. Who doesn't like movies? I can't even, there are too many.

I watch way too much TV. It's just great white noise. My favorite show at the moment is Hannibal. Also into Elememtary, Grimm, and Brooklyn Nine Nine, and very recently Penny Dreadful (so gory, so good). Plus, I rewatch the X-files frequently.

I like most things classified under the "Rock" genre. I listen mostly to punk, garage/soul, and anything that makes me happy really. I'll like list some stuff now: Cursive, Jawbreaker, The Ergs, Rancid, The Ramones, Bouncing Souls, She & Him, Iggy Pop, Black Flag, Legendary Shack Shakers, The Queers, Paint It Black, Minor Threat, the Distillers, Teenage Bottlerocket, The Devil Makes Three, and I don't care what you think but I will rock the shit out of Me First & The Gimme Gimmes, Less Than Jake, and The Get Up Kids

I eat stuff. Maybe not all the things, but a lot of the things. I have a few food allergies is all.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
How about six things always in my bag, it makes more sense to me.
A pencil
A sketchbook
A day planner (lost without it)
Measuring tape
A compact two sided hand mirror (it's good for drawing people behind you without them noticing)
A compass (could be lost without it)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
I was told by a friend recently that my brain works like an awkward unicorn. It's magical but a little hard to follow. I really don't know what to take from that.

I think about so many things that I can extrapolate from Neil Patrick Harris is a magician to all magicians are vampires to Neil Patrick Harris is a vampire in one stream of consciousness. These things happen. Also, what if Jedi/Sith were real? I'd totally want to be a Jedi but I'd totally be taken by the Dark Side because I crave adventure and excitement and a Jedi craves not these things!

I feel very remiss that I didn't have this on here before. I spend a lot of time thinking about dismantling the patriarchy, raising awareness on mental health issues, and the economy.

A vampire, a magician, Neil Patrick Harris, and the Economy walk into a bar...
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Hanging out with friends maybe at the movies, a bar, concert or sitting around doing stuff. Typical people things, you know, stuff.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit

I am afraid of space. It is big and scary and probably full of things trying to kill you. I will NOT be signing up to go to Mars.
You should message me if
Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
You care about things. Be interested in something. I don't like apathy. I like to laugh.

Bonus points if you like to dance, or don't care that I play video games or that I watch cartoons. If you are a male feminist.

Do NOT message me if you think feminists are bitches/lame/crazy. Just move along. Also, if you message me with "Hi" or "How u doin," I will not respond. If you take the time to actually write something that isn't a single, grammatically mismanaged sentence, then we'll talk. Maybe.
