What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I am a grad student and I also work at a really fun job in the
Education field. I am an SLC transplant...new here from Colorado. I
love the mountains and being outdoors (camping, hiking, backpacking
ect.) and I really need to explore Utah more. Work and school keep
me real busy. When I have a pinch of free time I also love running,
biking, reading and writing. I've been trying to get into
skiing...I really like it but I am a total beginner. I am
passionate about coffee...won't ever turn it down a cup.
The first things people usually notice about me

Typically I have a coffee cup in one hand, a cardigan sweater on my
body, and a laugh on my face (either laughing w/ my buddies...or at
my own private jokes). I like to think I have a quick wit and I
like cracking jokes even in a crowd. Appearance wise I'm not
exactly tall, I try to keep my long hair under control, and people
seem to notice most often my eyes. People tell me I look young
often...so that feels good...

Nerd Alert when it comes to reading. I love Tina Fey's book "Bossy
Pants" I'm really on board the whole female comedian train. I also
really love books about adventures in the great outdoors..."Wild"
by Cheryl Strayed was a great one..."Mile Markers" was also really
I don't want much TV like a normal person...I prefer to marathon
entire seasons at a time. My absolute favorites are 30 Rock (I am
the world's biggest Tina Fey fan), Parks and Recreation, Community,
and the golden years of "the Office". I am not too proud to admit
that I love creeping myself out watching old Law and Order
Reruns...my friends all think it is really funny that I love
it...but they don't know what they are missing.
When it comes to movies I prefer comedy, I have a short attention
span so a movie has to be pretty good for me to give it my full
attention. I saw Silver Linings Playbook the other day and that's
probably my favorite movie in recent times...totally deserving of
the hype in my opinion.
I like more music than I dislike...pretty open to anything it that
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Mountains/ The Great Outdoors
TV on DVD or Hulu Plus
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Occasionally I travel or have to be on call for work. If I'm in
town I'm with friends engaging in casual fun. I am a fun seeker,
but typically prefer bars to clubs and hanging out with buddies
instead of big parties. Once spring and summer roll around I am
hoping to spend some of those Friday nights in a tent in the
mountains. I also really like playing games (not like relationship
games...like literally board games or trivia...I think they are
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I teared up twice when a friend of mine made me watch the Justin
Beiber movie...his success story was just so damn inspiring...I've
been full of shame ever since.

Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
You enjoy or could enjoy any of the things listed above. You are
not looking for something random. You don't mind someone who is
smart, busy, and doing her own thing. Ideally you are not a murder
looking for a new victim...if so sorry I already have plans.
Or if you are a ski or tennis pro and would be open to offering me
free lessons! I would certainly be into that.
