Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
My dad was Brazilian intellectual. My mom was a Michigan Farm girl.
I'm a study in contrasts. I'm intelligent-both intellectually and
emotionally. I love conversation. The dance and flow where both are
heard and seen. Where speaking is not verbal jousting, though I
don't mind at all being pushed, I just hate being competed
I'm funny, irreverent, self-deprecating. I musical. I play guitars,
piano, mandolin, banjo and writes songs and instrumentals. Music is
a very good addiction for me. My music has been on NPR 3 times. I'm
very creative in general. I tend to think outside the box.
I've taken some personality tests. Helen Fisher's test from the
book "Why Him, Why Her" (a fun test, by the way). The results said
I am a Negotiator-Explorer. I agree. Which means that I want to
connect emotionally (can't live without it!), and need to
communicate, calibrate, and find equilibrium in my relationships.
If men are from Mars and women are from Venus, then someone snuck
me off from Venus before depositing me on Mars where other men all
too often look at me with the "where the heck did you come from!"
look. I'm very male, straight, ect. Played sports, still work out,
can do all that boy stuff, am not helpless with tools, etc. but i'm
very much like a girl in that I want to
talk/connect/listen/empathize. Really it is true.
I'm a balanced evenly between feeling/thinking. Between
extrovert/introvert. I hope that gives a bit of insight into who I
am. Who can really tell from online anyway?
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I'm a half-time parent to 2 boys ages 8 & 14. I completed my
junior year at PSU last year in the Speech Language Pathologist
program. I'm a gigging musician. You'll see me round town at
Farmers Markets through out the Market Season. The Willamette Week
called me "A weaver of 12 string wonders",
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.

I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
It depends on the context that they meet you in, I think, but in

Fav's include music: U2, Elvis Costello, Sam Phillips, Tori Amos,
John Prine, Iron & Wine, too many others to even begin to
mention. Movies: V for Vendetta, Shakespeare in Love, Apocalypse
Now, Galaxy Quest. Books: The Deep by John Crowley (really
beautiful prose and a haunting myth of a tale). Lots of Ursula
LeGuin including The Left Hand of Darkness, and the Dispossessed.
E.L. Doctorow's Loon Lake. I love to cook and eat good healthy
food. Thai, Mexican, etc. I love Cook's Illustrated (I've got the
online version). Their "nearly no kneed" bread recipe is great!
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Connecting on a deep meaningful level
Coffee (ummm...espresso with creme on the top!)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Too much about politics and the state of the world. About my kids.
About whatever lyric is running around in my head. About what to
cook for dinner.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Usually at home cooking, maybe at friends house for dinner, could
be playing music or going to a movie.

If you know who you are, have done your personal work. You know how
to share. That you believe that genuine love is based upon deep
friendship. Sex & romance are the dessert. Friendship is the
meal. Nothing wrong with dessert (more please!! and a little hot
spice in the romance is nice) but you can't live on that. If you
can't talk to each other who cares about the fireworks? You are not
afraid to be vulnerable. The depth of friendship makes being
vulnerable safe and enhances, well, everything, really.
