My self-summary
In case you couldn't have guessed from my username I am professional baker.

I FINALLY got to travel for the first time in my life recently and I've caught the bug! Now I must go to Ireland before I die and I am eager to go on many more new adventures!

I am a nostalgia/pop culture junkie which makes it great that I am a child of the late 80's/early 90's. It was a magical era of entertainment that was directed at both children and adults. Now since everything old is new again I totally understand the adult humor/references that went over my head!

I'd like to think that I am a decent writer. At least thats what my teachers told me in school. Someday I think it would be neat to be able to sit down and write some sort of long form fiction. I am a total nerd so I would have to develop a world and concepts and all that jazz, because all of my beginnings of beginnings of ideas tend to be fantasy/sci-fi related. Until then, I'll settle for putting smiles on people's faces and filling their bellies with tasty treats!
What I’m doing with my life
I recently "bit the bullet" and decided that my chosen career path of journalism was not for me anymore. So I took a leap of faith and found a job that I absolutely love as a baker. The early hours can be a little rough sometimes, but let me tell you from first hand experience - when you find a job that you ACTUALLY LIKE -your whole outlook on life changes for the better.
I’m really good at
Finding good deals on rare/expensive items. My comic book collection is full of gems that I've found at bargain basement prices!

Being determined and motivated. Through hard work, I have achieved great success in my life - mainly at the gym. I consider it one of my greatest strengths that throughout all the pain, all of the achievements and setbacks, that I still have the will and the drive to keep working hard at my goals.

Cleaning up after making a mess when I try out my latest recipe. My mantra is that a good baker can't help but make a mess...it may be because it usually looks like a flour bomb went off in the kitchen when I'm done. In the end though, its hard to argue with the results ;)

Having been pretty much raised on TV back in the day, I developed quite the talent for having absorbed (and still absorbing) an insane amount of useless information. Its not all bad though because it makes for me being a pretty decent bar trivia partner!
The first things people usually notice about me
Oftentimes the first thing I get is, "I like those glasses, where'd you get 'em?"
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books - My favorite series of novels would have to be The Dresden Files by Jim Butcher. The Robert Langdon books by Dan Brown and the Star Wars Legacy Novels are always good. Stephen King's Dark Tower books were a captivating read. Plus I have a monthly pull list at the local comic book shop! (Batman is my featured jam!)

TV- We live in the golden age of television shows folks! Some of the best story telling in any medium is happening right now in long form, just waiting for us to spend our entire weekend bingeing the hell out it! Stuff like The Walking Dead, Game of Thrones, The Flash, Pretty much any TV Show Netflix produces. It's truly a great time to be alive if you love TV.

Movies- I also really love movies! My favorite movie of all time is The Empire Strikes Back. My favorite actor is Humphrey Bogart (the definition of cool). I also wrote a capstone thesis paper on Hong Kong cinema.

Music - I really have a very eclectic taste in music. My two favorite bands are Pearl Jam and Tool. Pearl Jam is just classic music - they've been a part of my life since I can remember and like a fine wine they get better with age. Tool is a love/hate relationship. I hate that I love their music so much because they take a such a LONG time to make new music and they never come to the Midwest.
The six things I could never do without
- A quiet, rainy day with nothing to do but read a good book
- Summer nights spent around a camp fire with good friends
- Friday night Admirals games with my cousin
- Visiting home and messing around with my Dad and brothers
- Freshly baked sweets made from scratch
- The same group of friends that I've had since grade school - that's a rare thing to have in life and it is very precious to me.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
My friends and I are avid board game players so I am always concocting new strategies in how to beat them.

I continually devise ways in which I can fit more time in at the gym without sacrificing my social life.
On a typical Friday night I am
- BBQ and board games with friends
- On the hunt for Milwaukee's best burger and an Admirals game with my cousin
- Lounging with my buddies listening to some good tunes and drinking some good beer
- Trying to get to bed (earlyish) so I can make it to the gym in the morning
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I only read the last Harry Potter book. And that was only because I couldn't wait for the last two movies to come out to see what happened.
You should message me if
If you'd like to accompany a handsome fellow to the local watering hole for a burger and some beer.

If you have any good recommendations for shows. I'm always looking forward to my next one!

If you have a sweet tooth. Seriously, I'll make you anything you want!
