Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Politics, Sci-fi, Cyber punk (that should just go Into sci-fi,
no?), Anarcho type punk, spaghetti westerns, violent 90's Anime,
Live music, The Rave/squat party scene, really old shit like
castles, new experiences, new people, anything new, Making lists,
Hitler, Sarcasm, Irony.
That's a list of stuff. I've been told lists are a best a faux pas
on this website but of all the sections this is the one I struggled
with the most. I suppose my self summery should just read
'uncomfortable with self aggrandisement', though that would have
the subtext of 'save yourself, stop reading this profile'. Ok then,
Well a lot of people seem to think I'm funny and affable enough.
Socially versatile I guess. Not the least or most bookish person In
the world, which just means I can laugh at a video of a man falling
into a giant bucket or coast along a conversation on agency and
super-structure. (In slightly woolly vagaries of course).
hmm... quite restless, always finding somewhere to go or a new
person to meet. Louder then average, full of strange euphemisms and
the occasional, and totally accidental, Verboten joke. A product of
not having much of a social filter for my poor brain. This section
is stretching Itself into the slightly 'too long' category so lets
just get to know each other ok? :)
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
A very good question! Currently working a few different bar jobs
while training as a drugs-related social worker. My career In the
Bolshoi ballet never really worked out you see. I spend a good
chunk of my time reading In and around politics/history/economics.
Finding inventive ways to disagree with people who are doing the
same. Pretty standard stuff. The rest of my time not ring fenced
for sleeping usually go's to traveling on the cheap and generally
slumming around. I met two Russian Anarchist painters the other day
on a train and ended up spending the next two days with them at
their squat in Wembley. That sort of thing. I'll get back to you
once I know for sure.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Anything conceptual usually. fantasising. Surreal humor. Making
people laugh occasionally. Spontaneous adventuring. Being able to
talk to people about almost anything. I've received lots of
comments on being an empathetic person, super cool. Just pretend I
said James Dean impressions. eer.. erratic sleep. Inertia. Deep
space mining. Making things up when you've run out of things to
say; Oh and of course debating in verbose language about a
convoluted mixture of politics, history and philosophy. Or just
comfortably sitting in relative quite listening to music and taking
turns making up stories - its not all that unbearable!
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
The hazy green ambient glow that radiates from my skin. In reality
I really don't think that's for me to say!

**This was written about 2 years ago but It's way too much work to
update so just add any films and books you like into the gaps and
it will work just as well!
Thats a lot of questions... I suppose in terms of protagonists I
like anything focused around underdogs, outsiders or generally very
bored people who don't quite understand the world. That sounds a
bit gloomy on rereading... hmm... I should probably get into
positive thinking and read more biographies of athletes overcoming
the odds or something along those lines. Oh, also nihilist comic
book characters like Punisher and the supremo fascist that is Judge
Dread. No point asking why on that last one, I've never adequately
been able to explain it to myself.
I've been through loads of 'stages' In my life and thus love many
ostensibly contradictory genres when it comes to any form of art.
Social realism, surrealism, existentialism, anything
Marxist.......... The theme of obsession is also great! I love any
film starring Klaus Kinski (he does it the best).
Books I've enjoyed in the past and can remember off hand include
The Outsider, Flow my Tears said the Policeman, The Picture of
Dorian Grey, The world according to Garp, Transmetropolitan,
Nausea, Catch 22, Crime and punishment... lots more I'm sure
movies: Too many! Recently been getting in Michael Hanake's movies.
Anything by the Cohen Brothers or Wes Anderson. Seventh
seal/Deliverance/I am Cuba... Blade runner. Lots!
Tv: Anything surreal. Particularly anything with Chris Morris,
Armando iannucci or Stewart Lee. I also really enjoyed the The Wire
along with every other human ever who saw it. *
Music: Punk, Noise, Folk, Jazz - anything a bit weird or unique.
Bands like Black Dice, Crass, Aphex Twin, Chrome, Beefheart, add N
to X.. Throbbing Gristtle... lots more etc. The default feeling is
anger and the default theme is death. Which is odd as I'm generally
a laugh at everything sort of character :/
Food: I try my best to stick to a low impact diet both socially and
ethically. My exception to this rule of thumb is I will try
anything nad hopefully everything once. I cant explain it beyond
the childish 'you have to try everything once' impulse I have.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
politics/philosphy/sex/adventure....among other things.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Looking for some weird and wonderful music I've never heard before.
Generally rooting out new sounds.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
