I am eccentric, cynical, and undead.
My Self-Summary
My name is Kile, like Kyle, but with an i. I'm just special like
that. I used to have a profile on here, but I got tired of it. I
decided to remake my profile since I'm planning on getting out of
Floriduh and moving north.
I'm a geek, nerd, dork, gamer, whatever label you want to call for
those who love video games, bad movies, and scifi/fantasy. My
interest tend to lie within all of these things, it just honestly
depends what kind of mood I'm in. I'm always up for a LAN party, or
just kicking back with my friends while we beat each others
senseless in a game.
Other then that, I tend to be quite carefree and aloof at times. I
love to explore and get lost on purpose. It's the best way to
become familiar with an area. I'm a huge fan of the great outdoors
as well as some urban exploring. While the mountains are beautiful
in their serenity, there's something astonishingly beautiful about
how buildings decay. They feel as if they're alive. I plan on
taking up photography once I have the spare money. I want to
capture their beauty before they're torn asunder by progress.
What I’m doing with my life
For the most part, I'm just a bored college student who's getting
ready to graduate. I'm looking forward to being done mostly. After
that, I have an idea of what I want to do, but who knows what will
happen.
I’m really good at
1) Procrastinating, but always getting the job done.
2) Vidya games. I'll kick your butt at some fighting games,
shooters, or whatever.
3)Loving life. I love to explore, try new things, meet new people,
and just generally living my life to the fullest.
4)Trying to cook, with an emphasis on trying. I'm slowly improving
though.
The first things people usually notice about me
My booming voice. My voice is rather deep, and I can lack volume
control at times. Either that or my dark black hair.
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
Books: Lots of econ books, most of Shakespeare's dramas. I've read
almost all of them. Othello is by far my favorite Shakespeare play.
There's something just wonderful about Iago trolling Othello's life
that just puts a smile on my face. Other than that, one of my
favorite novels is Leo Tolstoy's The Death of Ivan Illyich. My
friends have been getting me into Terry Pratchett recently, so I
loves me some Discworld.
I'm also a pretty big fan of comic books. Deadpool rocks my socks,
as do many other series. I tend to prefer Marvel over DC, but there
are some DC series I follow. I still follow a couple of manga/anime
series. My favorite series is One Piece and I hope to finish an Ace
costume sometime soon. It's been on my to do list for far too
long.
Movies: I watch far too many movies to have a definitive list of
favorites. Anything bizarre, indie, cult, or just plan bad, I'll
give it a shot. I used to watch MST3K all the time as a kid, so I
love camp and cheesey scifi. Ripping apart movies is one of my
favorite ways to spend an evening.
Here's a short list though. Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless,
Donnie Darko, One Hour Photo, Eraserhead, The Stuff, Attack of the
Killer Tomatoes, Dead Alive, almost zombie flicks, Star Wars,
Paprika, any Miyazaki movie, Machine Girl, Tokyo Zombie, Tokyo Gore
Police, Party Monster, Elephant, Saved!, North by Northwest,
Chinatown, One Flew Over the Kuckoos Nest, A Clockwork Orange as
well as most Kubrick films, most superhero movies including the
abominations that were Daredevil and Elektra, any many, many more.
Feel free to ask or give me some recommendations. It's always great
to find a new, great film.
Music: My favorite genre is probably classic rock. Pink Floyd, Led
Zeppelin, The Beatles, and many more rock my socks. Lots of indie
rock, punk rock, and most rock in general. Some of my favorites
include The Stellar Corpses, Zombie Ghost Train, Mad Sin, The
Decemberists, Band Marino, Neutral Milk Hotel, John Leviton, Gogol
Bordello, Travis Morrison, Dead Kennedys, The Gorrilaz,
Dismemberment Plan, Minus the Bear, We Are Scientists, Man Man,
Ratatat, Mountain Goats, Dresden Dolls, and lots more. I listen to
metal from time to time since I used to be into it way back in the
day. Industrial is still a favorite of mine after so many years. I
just can't leave my old goth techno behind me. Nine Inch Nails,
especially the early work of Reznor, is still amazing in my
eyes.
Recently I've been getting into psychobilly. The Meteors, Reverend
Horton Heat, Mad Sin, and many others rock. Give them a listen if
you want to hear some good horror themed rock. I've also found some
actually decent country (o_O;;) check out Reverend Peyton's Big
Damn Band and The Pine Box Boys. They're rather awesome.
Food: Food is amazing. I've honestly found something in each region
that I really like. I've been cooking more recently and love it.
It's great to sit down to a good meal that I've just cooked up.
Though, sushi and Japanese food is my favorite, especially real
sukiyaki made by my tiny Grandma, or some awesome mochi-dango.
The six things I could never do without
Off the top of my head, weird movies you've never heard of, random
topics from wikipedia, books, creativity, music, and friendship.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
For the most part, my life outside of Florida. I cannot wait to
move on with my life and start building my dream. I want to build
my own little workshop so badly. >_<;; I will have a glass
blowing study and forge one day!
On a typical Friday night I am
Hanging out with friends, maybe playing some video games, or going
to the movies/cafe. Once a month you can always find me at First
Friday. Other then that, nothing too exciting.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit here
I once shot a man in Reno just to watch him die.
You should message me if
You're bored and read this. Obviously if you're decently
intelligent and have a sharp tongue, we can probably have a good
conversation or two. If you happen to be from New York, or know
some good restaurants, feel free to send me a message.
