My self-summary
I really like words. I strongly value good communication. I think most problems between people could be solved if they would just talk to each other, and really hear each other, and try to come to a place of common ground. whether a friend, lover, roommate, or others.

I like long conversations, people watching, debates, & long e-mails. I like watching movies, climbing trees, heavy music, coffee, vegan food, animal liberation, potlucks, sewing, making stuff, etc. I don't have a cell phone, nor do I want one (apparently that's a big deal these days, ps- cell phones kill birds, and I would way rather have birds than a text message)

I like people that try to live their lives ethically, whether they succeed or not. I sometimes fuck up, like everyone, but keep trying, & I try to learn from my mistakes. Let's start from there...

you don't need to have tattoos or piercings or dress punk to talk to me! Most of people I date are not; anarchists, punks, tattooed, straighedge, etc... The only standard factor is they are all awesome, compassionate, caring people. If I tried to only date people like me I would be both boring & single. I am polyamorous
What I’m doing with my life
I always have a million projects on the go.

I write for a website called Profane Existence which is a punk & anarchist website. If you are interested, go to http://profaneexistence.org/tag/comrade-black/
I also write poetry, some of my poetry it is also posted in my ok cupid journal
http://www.okcupid.com/profile/ComradeBlack/journal

I volunteer at an anti-colonial bookstore. I also cook with Food not Bombs, and I am a full time anarchist organizer, who does community organizing, sets up workshops, bookfairs, lectures, and shows for punk bands, folk, metal and hip hop bands. These days I am focusing on prisoner support, & many other projects.
I’m really good at
I help people find what book they need to read, what record they need to hear, etc.

I am often told I give GRRReat hugs ;)

Tetris... seriously, I will whoop yo ass

I also love cooking vegan food and baking, and am a pretty damn good cook!.

I was once told by a female lover that I should put cunnilingus on my resume, cause she said I was so good at it. so I am taking her advice.
She also told me "sex with you is like... the best." Who am I to disagree with her?
The first things people usually notice about me
I am always smiling.

My t-shirs (seriously, I have an awesome t-shirt collection)

2 foot long dread mohawk

People sometimes tell me they find me intimidating for some reason when they first see me, but once they meet me it goes away pretty quick I think
Also been told by many people I feel 'safe' which I take pride in.

The six things I could never do without
Wildness (both internal and external)/a livable landbase
Good conversations
Good Books!! or at least good stories!
music and/or poetry
possibility of creating change/resistance
my sight (this might sound too literal, but I am actually very afraid of loosing my sight)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
How to shorten my OK Cupid profile
How people use space, how they take it up and how they are aware of it, how I use space as well.
How privilege affects my life.
Decolonization.
Accountability
Gender.
How intoxication culture and substance abuse/use are so prevalent and yet completely ignored, even taboo to talk about in a meaningful way
If I could have 3 wishes...
Books
sex
How the way we treat animals and the earth is mirrored in the way we as a society also treat women, people of color, people with different abilities, ages, body types, and all the others we create so we can exploit them.
How as a settler person who is occupying indigenous lands, is it possible to relate in a different way?
consent. not just sexual consent, but consent in general.
On a typical Friday night I am
Organizing some event, or at a music or poetry event, lecture/workshop, punk or folk show, or something related to building community.

Either that or creating art, making zines, wheatpasting, baking cookies or making food with friends
Or at home working out. :)
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I tend to be a pretty open person.

I have fatigue and chronic pain, I also have a bad back. I have been diagnosed with Ankelosing Spondalitus & Fybramialgia. I am trying to get on disability.

I have a type, I don't particularly want to have a type, but it seems I do. not everyone I date falls into this 'type' but I tend to be far more attracted to those who do. I am more picky when it comes to guys than women.
For women, I tend to end up dating girls who are bookish, yet alternative, short, and would be described as 'petite.' Often they are the body type where they spent their whole lives having everyone assume they have an eating disorder, even though they don't and are perfectly healthy.
For boys, I tend to like slim or fit, boys who are short. short seems key. that and big eyes. I generally crush on guys who are vegan and active in radical circles. usually they end up being straight though...

other things to admit:

I don't know how to ride a bike, and don't really care anymore, I do know how to ride a longboard, and how to ride a horse though, so...
I’m looking for
  • Guys and girls who like bi guys
  • Ages 18–45
  • Near me
