I moved back to Baltimore not too long ago after a prolonged exile in the suburbs and holy shit, am I glad to be back in the dirty, fucked up, violent and vibrant city.

I'm stuck in the IT industry because I'm good at it and it's one of the few jobs I've found that manages to not be boring or poverty inducing.

I'm a giant nerd, both literally and figuratively.

What I’m doing with my life

Lately I've been sleeping in a lot.

I’m really good at

Tearing things down. I have this engine in my head that takes anything that I would believe or like to believe and turns it into a pile of ideological rubble. Most people find this hugely irritating. Many people won't even talk to me about things they care about once they get to know me. But that's ok because my best and brightest friends seem to love it or at least tolerate it.

I'm also great at getting things down from really high shelves that most people have trouble reaching.

That I'm about a foot taller than they are.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

This could be a really long list, so in the interest of brevity I'll list one of each.

Book - 1984.

Film - Dr. Strangelove.

Music - The Swans.

Food - Jambalaya.

I spend a lot of time thinking about

The way things and system inter-relate and how gorgeous, complex, fascinating and maddening those connections can be. Where the line between this thing and that things are drawn and how fuzzy those lines often are. The things we label as evil and whether or not they are biologically inherent in our particular species. Sex, food, violence and friendship. Whether my cat would kill and eat me if our relative sizes were reversed.

On a typical Friday night I am

Reading a book and hanging out with my cat. I've really let my social life slip. If no good books are at hand or my cat is feeling antisocial I usually wind up at a dive bar drinking cheap beer.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

I wish there was a feature on this site that was sort of like Wink but was instead 'Point and Laugh'. Because I spend a fair amount of my time on here looking at people with whom I have the lowest percent matches and I'd like Okcupid to enable me to quickly and conveniently ridicule people who repeatedly use the word 'Crunk', the phrase 'LOL' in otherwise ostensibly English sentences or those who maintain that 'everything happens for a reason' somehow qualifies as a philosophy.
