My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I dig technology, ancient history, science, philosophical musings, grammar, graphic arts, surrealism, off color humor, creative ink, silliness, our natural world, new cuisine, kayaking, hiking, biking, universal truth and making lists.

I live a tidy life with minimalistic tendencies, and value honest, present, genuine experiences and connections.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
For fun I get into all kinds of things... kayaking, live music, theater, movies, playing pool / darts, trying new restaurants, camping, kicking it on the beach, zoos, biking, theme parks, people watching, gaming, festivals, road trips to weird and wonderful places...

On the daily I have a fulfilling career, run a business, maintain a house in suburbia, hang with my awesome 11 year old kid (alternating weeks), and goof off.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
playing the devil's advocate, listening, making you feel special, saying things you never expected, reaching things on the top shelf, empathy, disbelief, macs, recognizing the limits of my knowledge, web design, diving into the hidden corners of your soul.

I tend to read mostly dark humor, science fiction, scientific journals, philosophical literature and religious texts. Some good recent reads were Cat's Cradle, A Confederacy of Dunces, Bossy Pants, Life of Pi, and Damned. favorite authors - Douglas Adams, Richard Dawkins, A Lee Martinez, and Carl Hiassen.

Scott Pilgrim, 500 Days of Summer, The Fifth Element, The Princess Bride, Batman (Keaton's), Monty Python, Lord Of The Rings, Breakfast Club, Dr Horrible, Heathers, Spirited Away, Amelie, Pulp Fiction, Zombieland, Spaceballs, Mallrats ... many others in the Comedy, SciFi, Fantasy, Action, Animated, Indie genres.

I prefer comedy to drama (on the telly and in life) so shows like Community, Arrested Development, Parks & Rec, Portlandia, Trailer Park Boys, Workaholics, Office, Idiot Abroad, Archer, Futurama, Bobs Burgers, New Girl, and 30 Rock tickle me. I also get a kick out of British comedy like Little Britain, Blacks Books, Mighty Boosh, Flight of the Conchords, and IT Crowd. And Mythbusters. I'd watch History and Discovery if I had cable.

Music is an absolute necessity. Daily shuffle might include Florence + the Machine, Pink Floyd, Zeppelin, Daft Punk, Perfect Circle, Regina Spektor, Sting, 311, Amy Winehouse, The White Stripes, Damien Rice, Tool, Adele, Bjork, Dido, Johnny Cash, Sam Sparro, Kaleigh Baker, Poe, Grace Potter, Transglobal Underground, Jamiroquai, Gorillaz, Flobots, MIA, Beastie Boys, Ok Go, Walk Off the Earth, Violent Femmes, Tom Waits, Modest Mouse, Fiona Apple, Akon, Mumford & Sons, NIN, Puscifer (maynard is the man), CAKE, Bob Marley, Sublime, and so on...

Sushi is my fave. I'll be very sad when we've fished up all the Tuna. Eat most any type of food though. Except guacamole.

You are devastatingly intelligent, open-minded & liberal, self actualized, irreligious, creative / artistic, silly or intense... active and confident without being vain. Someone who alternately shocks, amuses and inspires those around you.

I've got some tattoos and uninteresting piercings and appreciate body art.

Or if you just want a kayaking buddy.
