I read that the average American has only one person with whom they deeply confide. I’m rich by that more important measure. The friendships I value most are with people who know themselves and aren’t afraid to be known. I can hear what they aren’t saying and they see inside me.
At an exhibit a while ago, I realized that Salvador Dali is the artist whose work most embodies my temperament. The concrete and the dreamlike, science and faith, order and chaos, emotion and reason – all swirled in a surreal mix.
