I am Passionate, Confident, and Fun.

My Self-Summary

My sister calls me her feisty, red head and I can’t argue with her. I tend to have a snappy reply to everything, all meant in good fun. Keep up with me and the laughs will be good!

I am a huge flirt. There is nothing better for anyone’s self esteem then being flirted with. That being said, I am a one man kind of girl. I’ll be honest with you, sometimes overly honest, I just ask you do the same.

There are many things that I enjoy (music – preferably live, good books, random conversations that range from favorite colors to quantum mechanics), unfortunately that list changes weekly. Not many things can keep me really interested for long (unless he’s got great arms or knows how to get me into trouble). Knowing this about myself, I change things up. I am currently looking for the next hobby, FaceBook is loosing the appeal. Not that it was a hobby per say… more of a time waster.

I also love doing things with my hands. Being able to look at something and say, “I built that!” is a great thing. I’ve got several projects going around my house or as I call them ‘Adventures in homeownership’. At least the yard looks great.

Music is a big part of my life. I can’t sing (really, people pay me to stop) so I listen a lot and *try* to play. I have lost touch with the local Indie crowd and would love to get reconnected with the great local talent.

As for the ‘him’ in my world, I am in a 'no pressure' zone right now. I’m looking for people to talk to and share the next round in my crazy doings. *Fair Warning* My schedule revolves around a 4 year old boy. At least he goes to bed early.

What I’m doing with my life

I know there is more to this world than work, Disney Channel and Dr. Seuss. Wanna help me find out what?

I have a great job that takes too much of my time and every now and then sends me on the road. At least I get to work from home. My work involves sports, beer and hot dogs. I am saving the world one hot dog at a time. If you ask, I will explain.

I’m really good at

I love to figure things out and fix them. The challenge of learning something new excites me.

I have tried many things and enjoyed most of them. Some of the things I have tried, and successfully, fixed:
Computers – all the freaking time (once a geek, always a geek)

Cars – Yes, I can change my own tires and oil. I’ve worked on ignition systems, breaks, suspension, and fuel lines

Home Projects – Hot Water heater (with help, I don’t have my blow torch badge yet), Shower stall, *tons* of yard work. I know there are others… but they are not coming to mind just yet.

The first things people usually notice about me

I have been told that I have a presence that people tend to notice. Something about being hard to miss and the boobs don't hurt either. That and my wicked grin.

I don't know why, but I'm the one people always talk to. It is amazing how many personal secrets strangers are willing to tell me, particularly on a smoke break. I think everyone I have met has said, "You are so easy to talk to!" or, "I have never told this to anyone." If I had a dollar for each time I've heard that, I wouldn't have to work!

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

There are too many books to list. I am a voracious reader. I have been stuck in the fantasy world for a long time and I also enjoy historical fiction. I have read most of Jack Higgans, Clive Cussler, and all the Dresden Files.

I’m not so much into TV and movies at the moment. The TV in my home is stuck on the Disney Channel for my son.

I’m so far behind in movies, that it is pathetic! I finally did go watch X-Men Origins, just before it fell out of theaters around here.

Music is another deal!
I love music. I listen to most kinds. The more unusual the sound and the voice, the more I'd like it.

Here are some of the sounds currently on my noise box:
Alanis Morissett, Ashley MacIssac, Bond, Celtic Woman, Collective Soul, Dixie Chicks, The Eagles, Evanecence, Gaelic Storm, Godsmack, Great Big Sea, Kansas, Led Zeppelin, Live, Manowar, Michelle Branch, Patsy Cline, Queensryche, Rush, Sara Brightman, Smash Mouth, Switchblade Symphony, The Wreckers *NEW FAV* Lily Allen

Food, yep, food is good. I love to cook for large groups and the grill is my favorite cooking tool. I have to admit that I am a bit of a 'kitchen tool' hoarder. At least I know how to and do use most of them.

I love the hole in the wall Mexican restaurants and the small pubs with *great* food. I've got some funny algeries. Well, I can laugh at them.

The six things I could never do without

1) My son - the things you learn about yourself from a child are amazing.
2) My noise box (MP3 player) - Life needs a sound track. I can't sing, so I'll save my friends sanity and listen to others.
3) A good book - reality sucks... read.
4) Great conversation - people are amazing. Just listen to them, you may be shocked.
5) Sunshine - a little bit of photosynthesis is good for the soul.
6) Coffee - there is too much blood in my caffeine system!

I spend a lot of time thinking about

How in the hell is my 4 year old doing flips already?
How does one teach a dog manners?!?
What is the air speed velocity of an unladen swallow?
Why is my cat drooling?
Can I afford a trip to Ireland and a baby sitter?
What happened to great guitar music?
Where did my focus go?
What kind of theme song would work for me?
IS the Answer to the Great Question of Life, the Universe and Everything really 42?

On a typical Friday night I am

Wondering what to do after pizza and movie night with my son. I just recently got my Friday night's back (no more on-call time!!). I want to get back into playing pool!

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

I like the popcorn flavored Jelly Beans.
