My self-summary
I am a political junkie. The first thing I do in the morning is read The Huffington Post or New York Times. On occasion, I'll read The Wall Street Journal--merely for shits and giggles.

I'm ridiculously liberal but not in the highbrow sort of way.

Woody Allen doesn't get enough credit 'round these parts.

My heart will always be with the poor because they understand real struggle and because no one lobbies on their behalf. Power to the proletariat.

I'm your average misanthropic iconoclast. See, I believe all people deserve an equal opportunity to earn living wages and government assistance when needed, but sometimes I'm not particular fond of people and their behavior. It has been a constant back and forth with me.

I'm fascinated with the cosmos, the deep ocean and human behavior. I always wonder why people focus so much time on intelligent life outside of earth when there are millions of fascinating species right here and we are discovering more everyday.

I'm kind of like a young Larry David; put me next to a stranger and we'll talk for hours, put me next to someone I've known for years and the crickets will sing.

I'm fascinated with vultures, probably because they aren't universally seen as majestic and people never want to talk about them. For a balanced ecosystem, they're pretty vital.

I'm against the possession of a mortgage. One of the benefits of living lease to lease is that you're not tied down to some arbitrary loan that traps you in one city or one place. I can move around. Can you?

I'm rational, goal-oriented, pro-union, cynical, secular/atheist and opinionated, or in other words, hated by mothers across the country!

I tend to change subjects often.
What I’m doing with my life
I have a BA in Communications/Journalism and that has led me to become an editorial assistant for a leading adult entertainment site. I enjoy telling people what I do, especially when it offends them.

I'm also a freelance journalist. You may have seen my work on a number of outlets, including Newsworks.org (WHYY), XBLAfans.com and Microhorror.com. I regularly contribute to the Chestnut Hill Local newspaper if you're from that area.

I try to travel as much as possible. I've visited Slovakia, Germany, Austria and most of the U.S. and im always yearning for more.

Outside of my goals, I suppose I am an existentialist, maintaining a balance of health and happiness while surviving in the process.
I’m really good at
Writing. Debating. Defining my own legacy through prose. Poetry. Criticizing political happenings. Leading. Inspiring. Chess. Poking and probing enough to make people feel uncomfortable but challenged.
The first things people usually notice about me
Difficult to say. I can be misinterpreted as shy, simply because I don't like engaging in conversation that is simplistic or anything related to small talk. If I ever repeat "Okay then" it means I want to end the conversation and escape from you.

People have difficulty categorizing me because I use big words and don't let my fashion literally detail my ideology. Self-declared Socialists who wear Che Guevera t-shirts manufactured in some third world sweatshop are missing the point entirely.

Crowds bother me. Not just in a social sense, but because group think is a product of it and individuality is suppressed.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Plenty. My favorite book is Revolutionary Road by Richard Yates, quickly followed by any Orwell, or Bradbury, or even the contemporary Fight Club. I also enjoy non-fiction quite a bit. Chomsky. Naomi Wolf. Kant. Dawkins. Hitchens.
Bukowski--especially Bukowski

Movies follow the same sort of direction. Some examples: Antichrist, Taxi Driver, Dead Alive, 30 Days of Night, Woody Allen stuff, Fight Club, Moon, 28 Days Later, Michael Moore. I'm pretty much a sucker for the horror genre.

Music: Tool, Isis, El Creepo!, Neurosis, Battle of Mice, Made out of Babies, Dead Kennedys, Henry Rollins, Fantomas (anything Mike Patton), Les Baxter, Slayer, Aphex Twin, Dalek, Immortal Technique, Exotic Animal Petting Zoo, Cave-in, etc.

Where is the video games section? Grand Theft Auto V earned a billion dollars for it's publishers and developers in under a week, and it's still not okay to put gaming on a mainstream dating site? GTAV, REZ, Bioshock, Shadow of the Colossus, Limbo, Torchlight...honestly too many to name.

I'm pretty sure Cave-In is the greatest rock band of my generation.

TV: Dexter, Arrested Development, Twin Peaks, South Park, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Breaking Bad, Mad Men, Game of Thrones, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Seinfeld, The Killing, Bates Motel...we are in the golden age of television...it surpasses film in many ways IMO.
The six things I could never do without
-Books
-Sanity (though that may be slipping)
-NPR
-Gravity
-Faith (Just kidding!)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Our role in the universe, Atheism, Socialism, Books, Music, trivial day-to-day occurrences, Social Capitalism, Silk Road, Tor, etc.

If we're on a date, and the moon is full enough that the night radiates and you can't appreciate it, then i'm afraid we won't get along.
On a typical Friday night I am
Probably watching something on Netflix or out at a bar.

I enjoy dialogue. A nice, dialogue-driven night at the bar suits me well.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I don't give a damn about sports.

I hope I go grey when I get older

I love tattoo culture but a lot of people have really awful tattoos. Uninspiring, religious drivel containing messages of hope or tributes to their dead grand mothers. Can you be more creative?

Also, I doubt people who put "living life to it's fullest" are actually doing that. To me, watching Netflix every night isn't exactly pushing life's boundaries. If you're hang gliding at break neck speeds 5 days a week then having unprotected sex the other 2 days, then yeah....maybe you are living life to it's fullest.
