My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm smart, kind, and curious. I think a lot. I'm a realist with a good understanding of what I know and what I don't know.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I work for an organisation that helps kids who are out of school get back into education. My role is a mix of data analysis, trying to make sure our network stays alive, and attending an excessive number of meetings with mysterious names.

In my free time I read interesting bits and pieces of economics, politics, and computer science stuff. I dabble in coding and writing. I love themeparks, and don't think I've ever passed on an opportunity to hit Alton Towers or Drayton Manor. I'm also lucky enough to have a great friendship group, though lately it seems like we often end up catching up more online than in real life. When we do get together I really enjoy relaxed conversations in bars, but generally skip any clubbing unless it's a particularly special occasion.

Recently, I signed up for an interesting thing called the Good Judgement Project - a competitive forecasting tournament designed to source the wisdom of crowds. It's pretty neat.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I enjoy brainteasers a lot. I also cook delicious stirfries.

I'm well dressed, relaxed, and happy to talk to them.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Books? I think Freakonomics is my absolute favorite. A rogue Economist explores the hidden side of everything, including: What do estate agents and the Ku Klux Klan have in common? Why do drug dealers live with their mothers? And how can your name affect how well you do in life?

Movies? The Princess Bride is great. A cult classic featuring swordplay, a witty princess, an evil prince, a masked hero, and true love. Other movies I thought were rather good include Ocean's Eleven, Skyfall, and Fletch.

Shows? The BBC's rendition of Sherlock Holmes is probably my favorite TV series right now. Other contenders are Yes Minister, Firefly, and Bones. On a musical note, The Book of Mormon and Wicked were both fantastic.

Games? I have a few close friends that don't live in Birmingham any longer, and we often end up playing League of Legends or Hearthstone together while chatting on Skype. I also enjoy Bioware RPGs - Baldur's Gate 2, Dragon Age, Mass Effect, etc.

Music? I listen to a lot of electronica, and some classical/rock/other miscellany. Recent favorites include BOY, Solarstone, and mixes of Ella Henderson.

Food? I'm vegetarian, but otherwise not too picky. I love green tea and good coffee, though. I just bought an Aeropress coffee maker and experimenting with it has been delicious.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
I think a lot. Recent topics include how to design better things, economics, politics, fashion, mindfulness, optimising our student data reports at work, helping my sis with a blog in which she reviews tea, where I want to be in five years, and whether I should replace my goddamn conifer hedge with something that grows less quickly.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit

I love terrible pickup lines/puns. I feel like the perfect response to a pretty woman complimenting something I'm wearing is "thanks - it's boyfriend material".
