My self-summary
Fiesty, honest, happy, irreverent.
Transplanted from Kentucky five years ago.
I miss the South, but I'm adjusting.
I'm so completely not Scandinavian.
I think Minneapolis is amazing.

Click the personality tab above: in my case, it's spot on.
What I’m doing with my life
Making money working as an academic librarian.
Making myself happy with my art car, Bette, with my cats (I'm up to three now) and my big dog (a 6 year old Great Dane), writing, making art, hanging out with friends.

This year, I've done a lot of traveling for fun (which is a little unusual for me). I was in Boone and Louisville for a few weeks this summer; in Dismals Canyon outside Birmingham in September; in Antigua and Panajachel, Guatemala in both March and October, and I'm heading to to Cologne, Germany in just a few days for the holidays.

I've also decided I'm going to learn the tango. Argentinian Tango.
I’m really good at
seeing the big picture
being an excellent friend
making things
building a fire
listening
bringing people together
The first things people usually notice about me
wow. I don't know.
my car.
my smile.
& my ginormous sweet dog.

I spend a lot of time thinking about
making things, like chicken coops, poems and strong relationships ...
On a typical Friday night I am
up in the TC doing something with a friend (show at the walker, northern spark, walking on the Mississippi with my dog ...) or settling into the weekend at home with a movie and a couple of good beers (it sort-of depends on how my week has gone).

  • Ages 46–60
  • Near me
  • Who are single
  • For long-term dating
You should message me if
you like art cars, big dogs and friendly cats, sleeping in on weekend mornings, walking to your favorite restaurant for a late dinner and a drink, hanging out in the city ... if you're grouchy about the NSA and admire Noam Chomsky ...

you hate malls, love brainy movies, good music, summer evenings outdoors watching bats stitch the sun down into the Mississippi River ...

you will treat my many gay and lesbian friends, and my friends who are members of multi-racial families with acceptance, respect and love …
