My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Compassion, mutual respect, honoring the spirit of that which makes us all unique.

Mean what you say and say what you mean PLEASE. dealing with insincerity can be tiring.

What I am looking for in you::
You are happy. You are true and real. You find joy in the little things, but can think deeply at times. You care about the world and leaving something positive behind. You are intelligent, compassionate and nurturing. Healthy foods are important to you.
You are kind, honest and mature. You are genuine and a good communicator. You, too, care about the earth and do your part. You say what you mean and mean what you say.

About me: I mean what I say and say what I mean.
Others have described me as a man who communicates openly and honestly, has a witty sense of humor, a man who is passionate and romantic, healthy in mind, body and spirit, appreciates random acts of kindness, who is confident and comfortable in his own skin. I was a single custodial dad for 10 years (their mom moved away), but the children have have grown up and I now have time for me. Distance is not an issue for me. What makes me unique is that I am honest, sincere, real, down to earth. I care about the earth (leaving a smaller footprint than most - I recycle, purchased the most efficient gas furnace and own a hybrid). Others describe me as "calm", "at peace" and I value those perceptions. I meditate and practice yoga which affords a quieting of the mind.

Tidbits: I own my own home. I was taught to open the car door for my date. I wrote a song that was sent by Atlantic Records to Phil Collins. I graduated with high honors from UMass. Personal growth is very important to me. A healthy diet is too (green drinks, raw veggies, fruits and beans). I am not a vegetarian or vegan although very close to it. Being a single dad changed my whole perspective on life. I experienced a transformation by rediscovering meditation (I learned at age 19 from a very special man from India). Integrity is important to me.

In other ways, I am a regular guy. I have a great job (although it does not define me), am blessed with musical talent and have two wonderful children. I like watching sports, taking day trips, checking out little shops along the way, going to concerts. I like the humor and intellect of Jon Stewart, George Carlin, Bill Maher and Michael Moore. I don't watch much TV but instead get what I need online. Simple things make me happy. I love rock n roll, it is embedded in my DNA.

Thank you for taking the time to read my profile.
