My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Hi! My name is Ryan, I'm originally from Seattle but have lived in SF for almost 2 years now and absolutely love it here. I have an open and active mind and try not to take my life or the people in it for granted. Generally I like to be around positive people, and have little patience for constant cynicism and pessimistic attitudes. I get along best with individuals who share my passion for learning, are easily sucked into random Wikipedia tangents, wonder about the universe, appreciate the beauty of nature, love music and art, and most importantly - love to laugh. I'm a huge astronomy and science buff who also enjoys hiking, painting, cooking, fitness, travel, music, DIY electronics, movies and exploring new things.

Looking forward to meeting like-minded women for friendship or romance.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Working with a start-up STEM education outreach organization and wearing many hats. Our aim is get kids excited about science , math and engineering and provide resources and tools for educators. Also, a couple weekends per month, I volunteer for an astronomy group that does public outreach in the form of stargazing events in the city. My career for the past decade has been in software sales which is what originally brought me to the bay area, but I have switched gears and been lucky enough to get the opportunity to pursue something I'm truly passionate about. In my "free time" I also drive for Lyft (which is a blast) and do freelance graphic design, apparel printing, and original artwork. I am all about exploring whatever life throws my way. Why waste the best years of my life behind a computer screen in a cubicle. I can always go back to that, but right now I'm seeing what else is out there, and having fun doing it!
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I've always been good at listening, giving advice and empathizing with people. I would also say I'm good at astronomy and other geeky activities. My roommate says I'm a good cook :)
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
That I'm usually smiling for "no reason" and being goofy, I can get along with almost anyone and have no problem going out by myself.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
I like all types of music, from ambient space music to trap and grime. I am obsessed with Netflix and mostly like watching documentaries or anything I could learn something from. I also love dark comedies, any of Wes Anderson's movies, action, sci-fi, war dramas, especially classics like the sand pebbles, bridge on the river kwai, etc , epic fantasy adventures like lord of the rings are great too just don't tell anyone k? my reputation would be ruined! :) . Cooking is one of my favorite things to do so I like to try lots of different things. Hard to pick favorites in that area! Books.. lets see.. anything by Carl Sagan but that goes without saying
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
I can't think of anything at the moment so i'll just take the literal approach. Water, Air, Sunlight, Gravity, food, shelter
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Where did we come from? Are we alone? What will the future look like?
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Watching Netflix, working on some art or design project, photographing star clusters and nebulae , hanging out with friends , concerts, shows etc
