My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
So I guess here's where I'm supposed to talk about how cool and attractive I am and why I'd make such an awesome partner, lover, friend....whatever. Fuck it..I'm just gonna throw it all out there. We're all a mixed bag anyway whether we want to admit it or not. Why not just be real and if you wanna holler back...bam! We'll probably end up being friends. So yea ...I was married a few years ago, went through a pretty shitty divorce but I'm actually now so glad it happened. It firmly entrenched in me the belief that everything that happens to us in this world is for our benefit...EVERYTHING

So I'm relatively new and inexperienced with the whole online dating thing. I have never had much trouble meeting and connecting with people but one of the biggest challenges I've faced in being in an open relationship is meeting other like minded souls who are on board with it. My partner and I have tried dating people who identify as monogamous and the result has been .....shall I say...a bit messy.

I will also say that I don't have that much time but am interested in authentic connection that I can maintain in person every so often. Let me know if you're in the same boat!
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I love getting out there and experiencing new things even if it means bumping into discomfort. Growth and discomfort are two peas of the same pod friends. We're all friends btw...

Preparing for The Playa has been more or less a year round activity for me the last couple years. Career wise I help people go to A's games. I love baseball yet not really a sports fan. If we get a chance to meet, I'll explain. I also play various string instruments in a hillbilly band.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Spreading butter or even peanut butter on toast. I don't miss a spot. I'm talkin' the entire surface area totally covered. No joke...but seriously I'm kinda anal about random shit like that but totally not anal about the vast majority of things...It's weird...I guess I'm kinda weird...meh

I also excell at building a campfire and making pizza from scratch. Woo!

Oh and free form dancing is a spiritual experience that I've received accolades for yet ask me to waltz and all of a sudden I have 2 left feet. Maybe I just need to learn. Did I mention I like new experiences? Heh

Things I'm trying to get better at: finding hot springs, mushroom & gem hunting!!
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I don't know that I've polled anyone on this question so not exactly sure but if I did I'm sure they'd say something cheesy like a warm spirit and a nice smile. Awe..
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Books: Consumed with Game of Thrones at the moment. Books as well as TV. Ayn Rand's Fountainhead is one of my favorite all time. Same with James Michener's The Source. The Fifth Sacred Thing is pretty bad ass too. Oh! and The Science of Good Cooking....A few more: Jitterbug Perfume, Youth in Revolt, A Brief History of Nearly Everything (amongst other Bryson works), Guns Germs & Steel. Anything Malcom Gladwell

I don't have cable but will stream some shows here and there. Love true blood, dexter, breaking bad, curb your enthusiasm, family guy.

Music: A huge part of my life. Classic Rock is the foundation in musical tastes but I'm all across the board. I've had indie rock phases, bluegrass phases, jam band phases, electronic phases, and on and on. Currently into MIA, The Dead, Beats Antique, Silent Frisco DJs, Phish, Johnny Cash, Little Dragon, Younger Brother. You can't put me in a box with this one so don't even try. If it's truly good music, I probably appreciate it. Unless its pop country....or hard core death metal....actually Om is bad ass. I like Om

Movies: Waking Life, Amelie, Spirited Away, Welcome to the Dollhouse

Food: I am a foodie. Love cooking, love trying new restaurants and dishes. I love crispy fries. You know...the ones that are a little burnt. Steak fries I will eat ... but under protest. In the end I kinda like all foodish stuffs
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
The next 5 hours of life. It would suck if those went away. And sarcasm...sarcasm can stick around
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Where the hell socks fucking go and what the hell to do with the ones left behind

Actually mostly just trying to stay present. Now is the most beautiful thing on earth. They say God lives in the present. It takes hard work, but I try to keep my thoughts there

New business ideas

Alas 'tis human nature to drift off. When my thoughts take me elsewhere I think about what new ideas I can bring to the world. I'd like to start my own business someday.

I also think about the nature of relationships & love and how society has it all wrong with it's rules and conditioning. It probably has it wrong with a lot of things. We should be looking within ourselves for the answers. The emotions and thoughts we project become our reality and that which we recieve.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
I'm a big fan of friends on Friday nights. Actually on other days too, but I find myself hangin' with friends on Fridays often. I'm a bit of an in I get my charge out of being around other people...I like my me time too, but the laughing, crying, singing, dancing, cooking, feasting, talking, drinking with other people is where I draw energy from.

I'll check out First Friday here and there as long as I have time early to check out the art. The late night scene has turned into a bit of a shit show.

I also find myself at Beer Revolution on Fridays a lot. Love that place
The most private thing I’m willing to admit

I find I connect best with people who love music, have quirky senses of humor and are spiritual. And you like wizards...yeah you should probably like wizards.

Oh and I'd love to go on backpacking trips and other outdoorsy stuff.
