My self-summary
Well I suppose the most succinct way of describing myself would be through a series of interpretive dances. here goes...

this might give you a peek into my inner most thoughts--the best thing to share with strangers!!/fotimaa

What I’m doing with my life
You know that seed of doubt that seems to be forever lodged in the corner of your mind? The one that makes you wonder what the point is, and then you realize there isn't one. That life is just a series of coincidences and mundane Sisyphean tasks.
Mostly I'm trying to ignore that.

Picking up hobbies left and right. One of them includes power tools which brings me no end of joy.
I’m really good at
word play (clever or corny, you decide)
getting stuck in a book
laughing at myself
absorbing useless trivia through osmosis
solving other peoples problems
being adorable
Some would say I'm good at altering the chemical structure of foods by applying heat
using an exorbitant amount of syllables to communicate
The first things people usually notice about me
If I'm drunk, it's probably my awesome northern accent. If I'm sober it's probably my impenetrable poker face.

Oh and my name is pretty cool too.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I couldn't even begin to list all of the books that have had the terrible fate of being devoured by yours truly. When I was a kid, I was really awkward with incredibly poor social skills (not much has changed) so I spent many recesses and lunches hiding out in the library. I still love reading, but lately I've been spending more time with required reading for classes.
I do have a couple favorites that come to mind immediately:
The Razors Edge
Pride and Prejudice
Harry Potter (duh!)
Cats Cradle
The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn
The Great Gatsby
God's Debris
Invisible Monsters
Brave New World
A Clockwork Orange
... This list could go on forever, so I think I will say my favorite books have been the ones that induced a complete mind fuck. I love it when a book makes your brain explode!
Oh! and I really like anything by Garth Nix, Philip Pullman, Jasper FForde, Neil Gaiman, or Brian Jacques

Music is tough too! I actively seek out live music as much as possible, and I love being introduced to new bands. If we become friends I'll send you my spotify playlist. I know, you can't wait, I'm excited too!
The six things I could never do without
In no particular order:
4. literature
1. my phone I hate to admit it, but I'm horribly glued to it
9. slippers--the only thing preventing my descent into insanity. I hate having cold feet.
3. My cat. If this whole online dating thing doesn't work out I'm probably just going to go get 10 more.
8. Jams I can sing along to like a maniac
2. caffeine
7. anything that makes me laugh. I think the times when I'm laughing so hard I'm crying, are the times when life actually makes sense to me.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Future career prospects
Can I really justify spending this much on legos?
What am I forgetting?
The studying I should be doing
Being on an adventure in foggy London town
Hiking. I used to live in Alaska, and I really miss all the fantastic outdoorsy opportunities.
On a typical Friday night I am
Hanging out with some friends at a skeezy dive bar.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I thought the lyrics to "money can't buy me love" were, "money's got Bonnie's love" until about a year ago. So embarrassing.
In high school I played Star Wars Galaxies and it was awesome.

You should message me if
You're looking for someone fun to chat with. I'm always on the prowl for someone who I can jump into a 3 hour conversation with about nothing in particular.
You know about some trails in the area. I want to get back into hiking/backpacking and I'm looking for some fun people to get out there with.
If one (or all) of these things sounds fun
1. lazer tag (I know its spelled with an s but I think the z looks cooler)
3. bowling
4. wandering a book store, misplacing bibles in the erotic section
5. eating enough sushi to give a small rhino mercury poisoning.
6. pretending to be a tourist and getting lost in a bad part of town.
