My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Hi! I am hard-working, loyal, funny, reliable and a good listener. I'm originally from Montreal and have lived most of my life in Toronto (aside from a brief stint on a sail boat in the Caribbean). I really enjoy meeting new people and writing self-summaries (although I can't completely vouch for that very last part).
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I'm a CMA who worked in the film and television industry and would like to return to it someday (I am currently working in the resources sector). I enjoy racing (on a track, not on the street), photography, writing and watching films of all kinds (independent or mainstream). I used to make short films, and would like to do that again (I'm currently editing some older footage, and trying to teach myself Final Cut Pro).
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Being a good uncle, racing, listening, and I'm good at making people laugh. Apparently, I'm frickin' hilarious sometimes.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I don't really have an answer for this one - I think people will notice whatever they wish to notice.

Wow...too many to pick favourites. I like everything from local, independent films to more mainstream movies: The Princess Bride, Das Boot (subtitled version), Dr. Strangelove, Full Metal Jacket, Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, Breakfast Club, Uncle Buck (pretty much anything written & directed by John Hughes), Heat, Fight Club, Citizen Kane, La jetée (I also really enjoyed Terry Gilliam’s version,12 Monkeys), Office Space, Blade Runner, The Matrix (the first one), Schindler’s List, anything by Martin Scorsese, Raiders of the Lost Ark, Star Wars (first two films from 1977 and 1980), Empire of the Sun, Back to the Future, When Harry Met Sally, and a whole lot more.

Musical taste is all over the place: in addition to catching a good local live band, I enjoy listening to Bob Dylan, Van Morrison, Bryan Adams, Norah Jones, Feist, U2, Phil Collins, Tom Cochrane, Ray Charles, Cowboy Junkies, The Eagles, David Wilcox, Arcade Fire, Billy Joel, Lenny Kravitz, Meat Loaf, The Police, R.E.M., Tom Petty, Simon & Garfunkel, Elvis, Peter Gabriel, and a whole lot more. Oh, and CBC Radio 2 too (see what I did there?).

Taste in books can range from thrillers and mysteries (Ludlum and Conan Doyle) to biographies and articles about psychology. I recently read a book entitled "The Alienist", about a 19th century profiler (or what was the beginning of profiling). I have a minor in psychology from university and have always had an interest in cognitive and social psychology. I found the book to be plausible, suspenseful, very entertaining, and with a fascinating protagonist.

I'm pretty easy going when it comes to food...although seafood generally doesn't agree with me (don't mind if my partner eats it though).
