I've always had a love affair with food, and until recently never thought about doing anything about it. But since the whole Rock Star thing wasn't going to happen, I needed to figure something out, or else I'd be waiting tables the rest of my life. I've been cooking my entire life and I was always pretty good at it. But something happened recently where I just became obsessed. It's all I can think about, it's all I talk about. I can't stop. I guess some people might call me a "Foodie", I'd say 'Not even close". It's so much worse. I see myself more as a Gastronaut. Boldly dining where no one has dined before. I will literally eat anything. I'm not kidding. If it's new or exotic, it's mine. There is nothing too strange or taboo out there that I wouldn't eat. I hate it when people refuse to try something just because they don't know what it is. That's half the fun. How are you going to know if you don't like something if you won't try it. It could be the greatest thing in the world and you'll never know. So after a few years of soul searching, Culinary School was the next logical step for me. I wanted to hone my skills and become a chef, and hopefully a good one. Cooking at it's very basics are easy, but the sky's the limit. But the thing about cooking is, no matter how much you know (or think you know), or how much you've learned over the years, you can always learn more. Not knowing how to cook is like not knowing how to fuck. You gotta eat the rest of your life, might as well know how.
