My dream job is to become a screenwriter, I'm polishing up my first real script with my co-writer at the moment. It's a long shot to be sure. I addition to the Script, I'm also working on a Documentary about North American cryptids, I do the on screen interviews and the narration, It's mostly done, we just have to go out for some re-shoots in September and then edit. (Attn: Gold diggers, I could be a taller Michael Moore in a few year, just sayin')
Oh and I'm pretty darn good at reaching the top shelves.
I also think my eyes are adorable, even I get lost in them sometimes.
Kevin Smith is my hero. I try to go see him speak whenever he's in Michigan.
My all time favorite movie would have to be "Chasing Amy".
Honestly, when it comes to movies, I've either seen it, heard about it, or have a reason why I'm not going to watch it (I just don't like Tim Burton at all outside of Big Fish, there I said it).
I have a huge soft spot for watching B-Horror films, I love putting on the most horrible looking thing I can find at the video store or Netflix and mocking it with my friends.
Here's just a random collection of some of my favorite films: Chasing Amy, 500 Days of Summer, Perfect Blue, Inglorious Basterds ( yes spell-check, that's wrong, blame Tarantino). My Neighbor Totoro, The Decent, Citizen Kane, Observe and Report, Shaun of the Dead, Scott Pilgrim vs the World (for those keeping score that is two Edgar Wright movies in a row), Stranger Then Fiction, Juno, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Red State. Drive, Moonrise Kingdom and many many more.
If I had to make a list of favorite Film makers: Kevin Smith, Quentin Tarantino, Edgar Wright, Cameron Crow, Wes Anderson, Danny Boyle and Satoshi Kon
I don't watch a ton of TV, My favorite currently running shows would have to be Community, Game of Thrones, It's Always Sunny in Philly, Comic Book Men, The Venture Brothers, South Park, Parks and Rec, Eastbound And Down (is that still going?) and The Walking Dead. Canceled/ended shows that I love(d), Scrubs, Arrested Development, Clerks the Cartoon, Spaced, Neon Genesis Evangelion, Bored to Death
I can't stand reality TV(Minus Comic book men because I love those guys podcast, plus I got to interview Walt for my Documentary, and be an extra ), or those Law and Order and CSI things, ugh.
Music wise I'm all over the place. I love, From Autumn to Ashes (and any of Francis Mark's Side projects ). I'm also into Ben Folds, Rise Against, Powerman 5000, Queen, Weezer, Bear Vs Shark, Boy Hits Car ,The Killers, 36 Crazy Fists, Mewithoutyou. I'm not really into Country or Rap (outside of Nerdcore).
Books: I guess in an attempt to make myself even MORE socially awkward, I am really into comic books! If that doesn't scare you away, I read almost anything Marvel publishes (Spider-Man- X-Men- Avengers), I also love the Scott Pilgrim Series with every fiber of my being.
I do actually read some real books too. I've been making an effort to read the classics that I didn't read growing up
Some My favorite things I've read in recent years would have to be: Game Of Thrones(Minus any chapter about Dani She's the worst), Battle Royal, World War Z, Welcome to the NHK, 1984 and The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya.
My Best Friend
Mostly my future. I wonder a lot about what I'm going to do, I don't necessarily want to be rich, I just want to be happy.
Also the little OK Cupid Robot: he looks so sad after I don't visit any of his quiver matches. It's like he's saying "Bleep Boop, I'm only trying to bring you love, which I am not programed to feel, and you just keep rejecting it.....Bleeeeep" That makes me sad for the little guy.
I don't mind going out, I don't drink. Apparently some people take that as I'm antisocial, not that two generations of my family has problems with alcoholism that I don't want to inherent. I in turn take that as those are REALLLLLYYYYYY boring unless they are drunk. (And don't realize that they are annoying drunks to boot.) But no, I love my drunk friends, just please don't make generalizations about me because I choose not to drink.
