My self-summary
Somehow I managed to become a life-long East Sider and graphic designer without turning into a hipster stereotype.

If you've also managed to cultivate varied interests, opinions, and progressive politics without becoming an NPR caricature, I'd love to talk!
What I’m doing with my life
Loving my career. Enjoying the moment while prepping for the future. I know without a doubt that I'm exactly where I should be at this point in my life, but I also know it's not where I want to stay. It's a good dichotomy.
I’m really good at
Asking the right questions. Seeing things that other people don't see. Making people laugh and feel at ease. Providing advice without giving a lecture.
The first things people usually notice about me
The scruffiness? The glasses? The smart mouth?
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
It's important to know that "Grosse Pointe Blank" and "High Fidelity" are the movies I would've written if I wrote movies. If you don't have at least a passing appreciation for these cinematic gems (and their awesome soundtracks) we probably won't get along.

I could talk endlessly about the music I love, but in the interest of brevity I'll mention that I can't get enough of the newest albums from the National and Neko Case.
The six things I could never do without
My eyesight.
Intrigue.
Art.
Good music.
Something to write and draw with.
Bicycles.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
What governs our behavior? Why do people do the things they do? I'm perpetually fascinated by the impulses that motivate us.
On a typical Friday night I am
Some of the time it's staying in with a book or a movie or the occasional shit-that-needs-to-get-done.
More often it's spending time with my friends; sometimes we go out, sometimes we stay in. It's less about what we're doing than who we're doing it with. Socially, I'm pretty adaptable.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I buy my nephews the toys I would've wanted as a kid; then I get to play with them too!
