My self-summary
Online dating has its obvious quirks and craziness; but life is way too short to not try and be open to the possibilities. I'm constantly amazed how hard it is to meet new people.

I think of myself as a living dichotomy in ways that make me an interesting person. I think I have experienced a lot, but know there are many more experiences to be had. I am far from perfect, but strive to be the best person I can be by learning from what life brings everyday.

Cheesy? Maybe a little, but it's simple and true.
What I’m doing with my life
I've been in marketing for most of my work life. I initially got into it because of the design/creative aspects (as opposed to the sales side). I don't think my work defines me, but I do actually enjoy it - even when it's stressful. I hope to be making a change soon though...we will see what life brings. I am actually excited about it!

Other than work? I used to work crazy hours and am just now learning to make more time for myself. So, with all my new found free time, I like to get out as much as I can and enjoying what life has to offer. I am really having a great time too :).
I’m really good at
The details. I'm kind of a neat freak, I notice the small stuff. Would that make me a little OCD? Yeah maybe a little, but in a good, healthy way...if there is such a thing? ;)
The first things people usually notice about me
My "bubbly personality", (their words, not mine). I'm easy to talk to, enjoy good conversation and overall interested in what people have to say.

I also hear my laugh is "so me" and somewhat infectious!
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I have vowed to myself to read more for fun. No real favorites, but I enjoy fiction and biographies.

Movies, I'm the person at the theater who will laugh out loud, cry, jump, cover my eyes... I enjoy it for what it is, but also enjoy it as an escape.

Music, I love feel good music, particularly music that I can sing and dance to. (Even in the car!)

TV, I find that I like crime/spy dramas best, but do enjoy the occasional silly sitcom shows for pure comedic value.

Food, I can't say enough about it! I truly wish sometimes that I didn't get hungry. There isn't much I don't like.
The six things I could never do without
Family, chapstick, music, good food, sun and sleeping in my comfy bed.

I know some people say "sleep is for when you're dead", well I'm not one of those people. I get pretty cranky when I don't get enough of it. I just like and enjoy my sleep.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
How massive this world is and how we're all merely a blip on the radar. So having said that, I do try to enjoy life to the fullest as much as I can.

I tend to multi-task quite a bit, so I rarely am thinking about one thing at a time. (I am a woman after all...)
On a typical Friday night I am
I prefer to not do much on Friday nights as I am usually pretty wiped from a crazy work week; at the same time though there is always a reason to do something crazy/fun/unexpected.

Often times I am ready to do something with friends - happy hour/cold beverages and good food with awesome friends and colleagues. If during baseball season though, I'm usually watching the game somewhere.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
Not sure if it's "private" really, but I don't think photos of me turn out very well. I find that they rarely look like me! So I find this internet dating to be a bit harsh.
I’m looking for
  • Guys who like girls
  • Ages 34–42
  • Near me
  • Who are single
  • For new friends, long-term dating, short-term dating
You should message me if
I'm looking for some fun, new people to learn from and get to know; no pressure of anything more unless it progresses into something we're comfortable with and wanting to see where it goes.

I love being in Bay area and would enjoy exploring the sites with some one who can maintain a conversation, not take themselves too seriously and be in the moment. If any of this resonates with you, send me a note.

PS. Doesn't hurt either if you can manage to watch an entire baseball game with me ;)
