I am excitable, whimsical, and Northern.

My Self-Summary

Well, I'm a real human boy. I like exploring places, urban and rural, drawing, writing and reading, and experiencing things I never have before.
I currently live with a friend in a flat above a pub, where I spend my time drawing, wearing hats I'd be too ashamed to be seen in out of doors, working on a casual market computer game that will maybe possibly hope-against-hope one day get completed and bring in the £££'s, cavorting, and occasionally worring if I shouldn't be acting maybe just a little more like a proper grown up by this stage of my life. I turn thirty this year and I still get excited when I see a kitten, people. :(
I have recently quit my job and begun university, and am generally looking into expanding my social circle some. I need more interesting people in my life!

What I’m doing with my life

My Day Job for the last six years or so was working as a civil servant - quite literally Working for the Man. :( I have just quit that, am now attending University, and I am currently throwing my all into making enough moneys from more creative and artistic works and projects in the hope of somehow making a living from the silly comics I draw and computer games I make. It *could* come to pass, man, it *could*. :P
I'm also drawing educational comics about animals (google for Mobile Meat Machines) and working up a comic series on various religious stuff.

I’m really good at

Being modest and not bragging on lists like this? :P

The first things people usually notice about me

Used to be my beautiful long ginger hippy hair, but it all got shaved off for charity last autumn. :(

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

Books -
A few of the darker Pratchett ones
Even Cowgirls Get The Blues
1984
Sandman
American Gods
Martin Pryces Aberyswyth sequence
This old 1900's "Guide to ettiqute for Ladies and Gentlemen" I own, which never stops being hilarious.

Movies -
The Enigma of Kaspar Hauser
Labyrinth
Doctor Strangelove
The Princess Bride

Music -
All kinds of stuff! I'm currently on a big Dylan jag, though. Again.

Food -
Potatoes and eggs. There is little you cannot do with potatoes and eggs.

The six things I could never do without

My friends
Energy drinks
Adventures
Places to wander around in
Fun
Oxygen

I spend a lot of time thinking about

Why people do the things they do, animals, religion - I'm not religious myself, but am totally fascinated by it, the most recent stupid thing I've said.

On a typical Friday night I am

Watching movies or playing games with friends, or wearing headphones and trying to ignore the sounds of the Kareoke night in the pub below my flat.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

I once licked a life size statue of the Pope that was carved out of rock salt. While I was several hundred feet underground.

You should message me if

you are fun, and if you want to!
