My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Outdoorsy,, athletic, artsy. Very mechanically inclined. Somewhat old/fashioned. I take the salad bar approach to custom and tradition, taking what I like and leave the rest. I generally behave, bur occasionally rebel in thought deed and attire. Funny-ish to the point of cheerful sophmoric jokes. And I do annoy uber square types. Technical professional, amatuer musician, hanging on to athletics, and a work in progress. Cordially separated from my lost best friend. Seeking friends that may or may not have benefits. I warmed up to the idea that owning people/marriage is pretty half baked.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Chasing paychecks at the Capitol, in public health. Awesome lunchtime activities there (ice skating, YMCA, best food around within walking distance), really nice people to visit with to and fro on the busses, but having been anointed by the bishop of OGS parking spaces, I can now come and go as early or late as I please. (got taken away oct '14 - cdta no longer optional) Less Playing/rehearsing as much music as I can; phase I am over? Hopefully not permanently. Massive book reading also. More athletic stuff like Kayaking, bicycling and warm weather skating picking up. Nowhere near enough hiking, and excercise, all of which I love. Keeping elderly automobiles and motorcycle roadworthy. Kayaking lately when ahead on chores and its not always raining. Bowling or playing 8 ball billiards when alone. Doing laundry, cooking, or cleaning. Studying firefighting or practicing drill material for that. Better late than never. Came out of hockey retirement. Thought I was in shape, nah, but will be well before the season's over.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Piano, guitar, harmonica, singing, fixing mechanical things, skating, bicycling, hunting, listening, compassion, loyalty, billiards, fixing machines, bowling, spotting faces, making people laugh, catching things mid-air, finishing other people's sentences when hunting for the right word, seeing through smokescreens, knowing when to trust a new person (not always).
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
The long hair (why doesnt this guy have the military haircut everyone else does?), soothing voice/first words, and disarming smile. Also the masculine casual/work clothes dont match any of that. Not being afraid, being comfortable in my own skin (sometimes its an act Im pretty good at)

The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
My 1915ish piano
My Guitars
Shelter /food
Activities
Conversation with people who get me
Someone to misbehave with
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Eroticism, The Future, mine and my species, and its home/environment, social justice, trading impunity for accountablity, becoming intimate and/or understood by feminine people. I did without being wanted for 2 years, so it didnt make the big six, but now that I am here and there I feel much more complete as a person. Thank you sisters. I owe you big.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Playing music on piano/guitar, fixing something, or out with a group we see not often enough, hopefully not surfing but oh well. Bicycling in good weather, skating in really cold weather on local lake when ice is good with last daylight. Running superbeagle in local woods. Kayaking. Practicing 9-ball on the pool table. I mix up my fun. Folk/Celtic music jam lately, or studying firefighting. Sometimes all-you-can bowl trying to break 200 again.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
God/Heaven/Hell, 9/11, JFK, and Pearl Harbor are the grown up equivalents of Santa, Peter Cottontail, Horatio Alger, and the Tooth Fairy. Real icebreakers at parties, I know, so I dont lead with any of that stuff.
You should message me if
Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
You want to discuss something fun or challenging in a cordial way, or just share ideas. That last box was not very all-inclusive. MSG me if youre funny, smart, nice, and most important of all, feminine.
