My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
As a born again man, I get God's grace.

If you require a man who can communicate, that's kind of who I am. I will occasionally make you think, and I'm a life long learner. If you're an intelligent lady, I can make you laugh .... usually.

What you mean by: "Christianity and how serious you are about it," would define our possibilities. If we share a view of the importance of John 3:16, then it's a really good start. I've been a believer for 44 years, and in a non-denominational church most of that time. Mostly, I'm a sinner, saved by grace and finding that the older I get, that forgiveness is one of the highest necessities of life. We need to be able to forgive and be forgiven. God gives us grace, and we're supposed to spread it around.

I don't smoke, hunt, dip, chew or own a motor cycle. I seldom drink nor ever done drugs. If motorcycle competence is a requirement, I'm likely not your guy.

My passions are diverse, with a conservative bent. I've been very involved in the past in grass roots politics, though not so much recently. However, I still keep up. I don't think it's a taboo subject. In fact, if you have substantial political differences, it might be wise to find that out early. If you are thrilled by Obama's re-election, then for us to get along, you'll have to be gorgeous.

I'm asked a lot what I want in a woman. You'll likely consider yourself an Evangelical. You have pizzazz in your eyes. You probably smile easily. I'd love for you to have gorgeous eyes, that demonstrate a humble confidence. And I would be thrilled, don't laugh, if you have pretty eyebrows.

Mostly I'm a man with a high sense of responsibility and a good heart, seeking a woman who would value that.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I've nurtured a little one man business for 33 years. I go to church 45 to 50 weeks a year. I like to find a need that needs to be met and then organize people to do it. I used to be very involved in grass roots politics, but have backed away. However I still pay attention. I am searching for my last great love. Mostly, I try to find ways to make a difference.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
taking care of the little behind the scenes things that need to be done. In Christ's parable he ascribes to the master, "You were faithful in a few things. I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master's happiness."
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I really don't know. Probably they notice that I began a surprising conversation. If I were to stand next to you in a line that would appear to be headed toward more than a minute, I'd be very likely to start a conversation with you. It would energize me to ask or say something to brighten your day just a little, or maybe make you think.

My bible, several Frank Peretti books. Emerson Eggerich's valuable relationship book, Love and Respect.
Most of the music I listen to is worship and praise music with a little traditional rock mixed in occasionally.
Braveheart, That Thing You Do, Apollo 13, Lonesome Dove, Blast From the Past, Forest Gump, Amazing Grace (the movie), The Gospel According to Matthew (the four hour video). Mark Gungor's great relationship video: Laugh Your Way To A Better Marriage.
I love NCIS Castle and Person of Interest. Sooner sports on tv. Boomer Sooner.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Christ, the hope of building a romantic relationship to last the rest of my life, my best friend, enough money at the end of the month, my cell phone, college football in the fall.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
God. I'm a cerebral believer and theological thinker. My undergrad major was a humanities degree emphasizing religious thinking. It's one of my passions. I believe that biblical views are worth defending, logically and sensibly.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
It depends on the season. I have a little part time job writing sports in the fall. I have a weekly byline in the FW S-T now through November. The rest of the year, I'd love to be spending time with a lady possessing a great smile.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Great praise music makes my eyes wet.

If you're a bright lady and you like a guy who can make you laugh. I'm a sinner saved by grace and thankful for it. If you understand that about yourself, and have learned from your mistakes as I hope I have, then we have a good basis from which to begin. It starts by saying hi.

I'm not comfortable having my intentions put into a box to check. I would love to find the last love of my life. But it's okay to find somebody just to date and spend quality time with. You kinda have to go through B to get a chance for A.
