My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Hi, I'm Jeremy.

I think it's really nice to have The goal of wanting a travel buddy or a "partner in crime". However what I'm really looking for is someone I can do mundane things like laundry and grocery shopping together. I do those a lot more than I travel to far away places...or commit crime.

My three favorite things in life are my work (cinematography), cooking (including meat) and my cat (or felines in general) . I connect best with people who share at least two of those interests and tolerate the third.

I'm willing to chase only so far. Please be willing to get caught.

I'm not really your typical guy. I prefer classical music; Tchaikovsky, Ludovico Eunaudi, Beethoven, Dvořák I've recently gotten into Olafur Arnalds. I'm more of a KUSC than KCRW.

Combine the above traits with a complete disinterest in beer, and spectator sports, then you'll understand why I left my blue-collar, football-obsessed Pennsylvania home town as soon as I could, and never looked back.

Since it seems worth mentioning in the LA dating scene: I live around the Mid-City area. Between Miracle Mile and Koreatown.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I work in camera department on commercials, TV shows and music videos. I make a modest means now, but my work pays my rent, and puts food in my cat's bowl. I finally joined the Camera Union and I'm now starting to work on bigger, better-funded gigs...and play with some awesome toys all day.

In the meantime, I'm working toward my next goal of building my reel as Cinematographer in order to book more work in that area. I started over in my late 30's in a field that is terribly hard to get into. I have my shit together and a plan...despite being fully aware that having a plan means absolutely nothing these days.

Sometimes I suffer from a deplorable excess of time. Other times I barely enough time to sleep or eat. Either way, I'm a hard worker and that hard work is finally paying off. Ideally I'm looking for someone who has patience for my schedule, appreciates the passion and hard work. I'm a quick learner, but a late bloomer.

To paraphrase someone else's words: "If you can't handle me when I'm poor, you don't deserve me when I'm successful".

I also spend my mornings perfecting my eggs over-easy. It's a challenge to master.

I just started spending my weekends relaxing at the beach. Its become quite an endeavor. I have my own cooler, special chair and bags for books, etc. It's like my new thing. How did it take me so long to get into this?
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I am extremely calm, organized and decisive in stressful work environments that would drive most people crazy.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
How am I supposed to know what other people notice about me?

That being said, the first thing people usually notice is that I do not look my age. The second would probably be my hair. I'm growing it out. One of my makeup/hair friends called it "Luxuriously flowing".

I'm experimenting with beardism right now. I'll probably keep it through october, use it for a halloween costume, then shave it..
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Books: I'm not much of a reader of fiction. Right now, I am reading a some books on screenwriting. It helps me break down screenplays in relation to the camera work. I also enjoy books by Larry Niven. He writes hard science fiction. Think 2001 rather than Star Wars.

Movies: I am keeping last years new years resolution (in 2013) to see one movie in the theater every week. So far, so good.

Shows… I am currently finishing catching up on my TV: Enterprise. Next is Mad Men, probably followed by American Horror Story, maybe some Breaking Bad.

Music: I still like CDs. Apple or Amazon can never delete my music! I own a lot of movie soundtracks, modern classical, ambient/lounge electronic, grunge. I'm exploring 60;s jazz and bassanova.

Food: I like everything except Phó. Some favorites are:
Pelligrino Limonata
Eggs over easy*
Fresh bread*
Chocolate chip cookies*
Cappuccio (hard to find a good one of these in LA)
Anything with salted caramel in it.

*I make these myself
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Xero (my cat)
Supportive shoes
Corrective vision
Fresh Veggies
Good-tasting water

Things I prefer not to go without
Good Coffee/Cappuccino
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Mutual attraction; and why it's so hard to find.

Are you the kind of woman who is going to throw plates at me? Do I want the kind of woman who is going to throw plates at me?

Should I upgrade my town hall to level 8 on Clash of Clans? Maybe I should upgrade all my walls and cannons first?
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
I'm a freelancer, weekends are meaningless.

Whatever day my "friday" is, I prefer to spend it cooking a fancy meal, then sitting down to watch a movie.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I don't really have anything that is embarrassing or private enough that I would have to admit it. I tend to be an overly responsible person.

I will never, ever, ever, NEVER EVER send a pic of my junk to you.

Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
• You actually want to meet in person. I usually can't tell if I like you unless I meet you in person. It will take another date or two for me to know if I want to date you.

• You love to talk about that funny/cute/obnoxious thing your cat or dog did and you find it endearing I do the same.

• You're actually interested in, and will make time for, dating. We're all "busy". If you want date, you're going to shuffle your life a bit.
