What I’m doing with my life

This fall I started studying a mixture of library and computer science.
Currently I spend my days exploring the city I moved to. After five years of living in the same town it’s interesting to see something new every day.
Now in German
In diesem Herbst habe ich angefangen, eine Mixtur aus Bibliothekswissenschaft und Informatik zu studieren.
Derzeit verbringe ich einige Zeit damit, Hannover zu erkunden. Wenn man vorher fünf Jahre lang in der selben Stadt gewohnt hat, ist es spannend, jeden Tag etwas Neues zu entdecken.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

Due to my studies I often work with all kinds of books. I enjoy reading what one would call “classic literature“, since I’m positive that answers to many of mankind’s questions are already written down there somewhere.

I mainly enjoy music that has been made using guitars in many ways imaginable. But now and then music made with the help of computers is fine, too.
Musical heroes include: The Smiths/Morrissey; Pixies; Mogwai; Kate Bush; At the Drive-In; Smashing Pumpkins; Guided By Voices; Sonic Youth; B12; Kraftwerk; µ-Ziq and some others as well.

The six things I could never do without

“Could never do without“ is maybe a litte harsh, but things that are important to me include:
Many of the books in my bookshelf
Music in general
My computer, or more specifically the things it enables me to do
The joy of preparing (and eating) various foods

I spend a lot of time thinking about

I usually think about a range of things over short periods of time, since I sometimes tend to be an erratic person.

On a typical Friday night I am
