I have a degree in Biological Anthropology, a pet snake named Calzones, and I frequently wear unusual socks. I should probably also mention that I moved to Texas from California last Summer and I am looking to meet new and interesting people. That's all the important stuff, right?

I am a zookeeper. Nope, that's not a joke. I started volunteering at a local zoo when I was 19 and eventually decided to make a career out of it.

I'm good at defusing confrontations and getting animals to like me. I'm a halfway decent guitar player, and I took a semester of puppetry in college.

I've been told I have a goofy walk. I'll do my best to remain seated when we first meet so as not to distract you.

Music: I should warn you that I am a bit of a music snob (but a snob with really bad taste). I like music that impresses me in some way, whether it showcases great talent or the artist does something clever. I listen to all sorts of genres, though I would say the genres I listen to most are rockabilly, punk, blues, and jazz.

Food: Yes

My animal companions, flannel shirts, Leatherman multi-tool, tea, a bandanna, and... you know, I think I'll just be set with those 5 things.

My mind is just about always working at full speed whether I'm thinking about a project at work, something I can fix at home, whatever creative project I'm obsessing over, or anything about myself I'd like to improve.

Usually I'm at home with a cup of tea getting ready to go to bed early because I work on the weekends. Now, if you were to ask what I was doing on a typical Tuesday or Wednesday night, then I'd say I was either singing karaoke, going to a B-Movie screening, swing dancing, or doing something else much more exciting than sitting at home.

I've had a deep, emotional conversation with a bear on more than one occasion.

You are willing to listen to me ramble on about all the animals I work with and you can accept the fact that I am lactose intolerant.
