I am eclectic, unique, and adaptable.

My Self-Summary

I am trying to rebuild/recreate myself at the moment. I have little interest in squeezing into a persona that limits me anymore. That being said, I will expand a bit... Barring complications I intend to join Mensa this year. I have a well proportioned body that I am working to iron out a few of the "extra curvy" areas although this generally doesn't seem to matter to anyone but myself. I am a dog person, which means that you must like dogs... BIG dogs as I love Danes. I am an avid reader and I am in love with the feeling of drifting away on the page... I have a moderately high level of artistic talent as long as no one sticks a paint brush in my hand! I also am one of the most open minded people you will ever meet and I love to be surrounded by the eclectic, different, and interesting.

I am currently employed on a graveyard shift which translates to never knowing when you will be able to get ahold of me, unfortunately... My job is part of why I am looking elsewhere to meet people as meeting people that I do not work with or cater to is difficult with my scheduling.

What I’m doing with my life

Rethinking. I am reorganizing my priorities to find what I really want to do with my life in the present and the future. I am in transition so you may have to bear with me a bit as I may change from one day to the next until I have settled on a more permanant course of action.

I’m really good at

I am good at many things but I am very compulsive so I tend to focus entirely on one thing and with no warning be on to the next. I have a good bit of artistic talent when it comes to dry mediums but if you want to see a painting go to a gallery as you would be very dissappointed with me! I would say that I am good with people, I like to make everyone smile and I am very dogged in that respect. I can make anything grow and look good in a container but if I try the same thing in the ground my green thumb turns black, lol! I am a pretty decent shot (which always kind of burned my Ex-husband) so I suppose I can include that. Again, I have many things that I am good at but I will warn you I am a clutz, and have plenty that cannot be added here honestly. :)

The first things people usually notice about me

I smile a lot... I never used to smile and I have come to the realzation that it has been a detriment to myself and my relationships with other people. I have been making an effort over the last year to improve myself and as I become happier with myself it has begun to show in the physical form. I have come to understand that I had made myself virtually unapproachable during my period of unhappiness by introverting myself to the point that I never smiled at all. So, as part of the new me you will see an awful lot of my teeth because I do not see the point in hiding them anymore!

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

Hmm... Books would have to be anything by Stephen King or Norman Mailer, "Sarum", "The Years of Rice and Salt", and books that make you think.

Movies are HORROR!!! If you cannot see blood without covering your eyes then movie night will have to be a seperate night!

My musical tastes are all over the board! I listen to everything from Ella Fitzgerald, B.B. King, and Stevie Ray Vaughn to White Zombie, Avanged Sevenfold, and The All American Rejects. I have recently discovered the guys of Ghostland Observatory and they are awesome! Also my two faves are Tom Waits and (yeah I know, EVERYBODY loves them) The Beatles. In other words, I like a taste of everything so give me your best shot and I will probably like it.

Wow, food is a toughie! I like Indian food when the mood for spicy is upon me. Joe's Crab Shack is awesome! Mmmm, chocolate, lol! My Ex-Brother-in-Law makes some mean Italian food! Honestly, I don't think I can pick a favorite!

The six things I could never do without

Dogs would have to be number one, and the bigger and droolier the better! They are the only thing that kept me going during some tough times when I couldn't even talk to my family...

Number two is my family. I have the most awesome parents anyone could ask for and I regret that it took me so long to realize it. My mom will feed you 'til you pop if you don't watch her though! My amazing sister is an example of the kind of success I will only dream of, and her two kids are all the kids I will ever need!

Three is Me-Time. I have to get away sometimes and just be by myself or I start to melt down a bit. I can always tell when it is time as I find myself being short with those around me and start to feel closed in.

Which leads (sort of) to number four, books. I love to read and when I cannot physically get away I can always get away mentally with a good book. The only problem there is the fact that I am a quick reader and I tend to go through quite a few books in a short time.

Five... Hmm... My Girls... My two best friends are very important to me. I love them like they are part of my family and I would not do anything to hurt them intentionally.

Number six, oddly enough, is my customers... I know, that sounds a bit strange but my regular customers are the reason I drag myself out of bed every night at 10 pm to go and put up with the more frequent occurences of not so good customers. I look forward to my job because I know that these people trust that I will be there with a smile on my face at 4 in the morning everyday.

I spend a lot of time thinking about

People. Thier interactions, thier joys and sorrows, how to make others happy with simple things like actually listening when they have something to talk about. I work with the public and I cannot help but think about the people I come in contact with, whether it is one time or on a daily basis.

On a typical Friday night I am

Working, unfortunately! I typically do not have a weekend off unless I request it in advance. This doesn't particularly bother me as my schedule in general does not fit with most people's.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

Mmmm... I have some interestingly placed piercings? I don't really think of that as too private but I don't think I want too much private info given away that easily.

You should message me if

You want someone to go do things with. I love pool(though I am not more than maybe average), I can dig poker night, I am totally up for a game, or maybe just wanna hit the bar for a couple of drinks. Give me an idea of what you want to do and I will probably be willing to at least give it a shot!

Ok, I am adding this as I am frustrated by this to no end... Post a PHOTO! If you do not post a photo, do not contact me! I have posted photos, others have posted them, why should we show interest in you if you are not willing to show enough interest in yourself to show us what you look like? I am from this point refusing to interact with anyone not showing themselves as it would seem you have something to hide.
