My self-summary
I am a technical director and scenic carpenter, and have recently graduated from Point Park University with a BFA in Theatre Arts. I won't lie, I really like video games (mostly rpg) and I like anime. I'm not going to try and make you play/watch them with me, and you will always come first, but some people have an issue with that particular hobby, for some reason, so I figured I would just get that out in the open.

I am very politically active. While it's by no means a deal breaker, I would like to meet someone who is also interested in politics. It doesn't matter what you views on issues are, I'm always very open minded about different points of views, I just find political discussions very interesting. I am an anarchist and a feminist (in case my name didn't make the latter painfully obvious). I'm not going to go in to that here but feel free to ask me more about it if you want (but don't let the anarchist thing scare you away, I don't force my views on people and I'm probably one of the most passive and nonviolent people you are likely to meet).

I am extremely passionate about certain issues and will talk your head off about them, if you let me. Most of the time, however, I am constantly joking around and have a very sarcastic sense of humor. I'm generally a pretty shy person until I really get to know someone. I'm a vegetarian, primarily because I refuse to support factory farming. However, being around people who eat meat doesn't bother me at all and I will never try to covert you to vegetarianism (which I didn't actually think was a word but Firefox has not corrected me. score!). I am an activist and feel both parties have done a great job of proving that our system is broken. I am a very laid back person, in general. My old room mate once told me that it is impossible to make me angry. I'm not sure I'd say I'm quite that zen, but I usually don't let small stuff get to me and can put up with quite a lot.

When I am in a relationship, I am very affectionate and I try to put my girlfriend's needs ahead of my own, whenever possible. I also place a lot more importance on personality than appearance. No matter how attractive someone is, if you can't connect with them and carry on a conversation then it's going to be a pretty short and empty relationship. In general, I'm less attracted to barbies. I prefer womyn who look and dress the way they want, and don't try to fit into some cutout of what society and fashion says is beauty.

What I’m doing with my life
Having just graduated from college, I am currently broke as fuck and am currently in the process of saving up enough money to afford a halfway decent apartment, in the city. I can be pretty lazy sometimes when I'm not in a show. Sleep doesn't come often (a work day can often be around 13+ hours) so I tend to sleep in late whenever I can find the opportunity. I'm also a big night person and usually run on 5 hours of sleep.

I’m really good at
I hate this question because it makes me feel like I'm full of myself. However, I would consider myself a skilled carpenter and a pretty good drafter. I've been playing the drums for over 7 years and I can play most rock and punk songs well and I'm at least borderline competent at jazz. I'm also pretty good at ddr, but that skill is slightly less marketable than the first two. Um, lets see....I'm good at going for days at a time without eating anything (that's not a good thing but frequently happens due to my busy schedule and/or laziness). I've also been told I'm a good listener, despite my sarcastic personality.

The first things people usually notice about me
I guess probably my long hair and the fact that, unless there's something going on that day, I frequently look like I just got out of bed and threw something on. My "style" could probably be best described as "hobo-ish." Because of my job, a lot of my clothes have a fair amount of paint and rips on them and until something just becomes unwearable, I see no need to replace it. Also, thrift stores are my friend. that isn't to say, however, that I only own ratty clothes. My dresser has a drawer for work clothes and a drawer for decent looking clothes, for when I want to associate with civilized society. I have also been told that I have very pretty eyes. Someone once told me they change color but, since I don't spend my days staring into a mirror, I can neither confirm nor deny this claim.

Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books-I don't read much but I really liked "Nothing's Sacred" by Lewis Black

Movies-"The US vs. John Lennon," "Platoon," An Evening With Kevin Smith," "Clerks," "The Ground Truth," "Garden State," "Princess Bride"

TV- Since I don't have cable, I don't watch much tv. However, I love "The Big Bang Theory" and I was obsessed with "LOST" when it was still on the air. Also, after discussing it with multiple people, I have concluded that I'm one of the few people who actually understood the ending of LOST.

Music-I listen to a lot of punk, mostly Riot Grrrl, like Bikini Kill, Sleater Kinney, The Gits. I also really like The Sounds and Le Tigre is probably my favorite band. I like, "girl metal" like "Nightwish" and "Within Temptation." Ryan Harvey is an anrachist folk singer and is probably the best music writer I have ever heard.
My guilty pleasure is MSI.

Food-Tofu and seitan

I spend a lot of time thinking about
Activism. I'm an anarchist and a feminist so the failures and corruption of government, as well as the tyranny of patriarchy, are never far from my mind. I am a humanist overall (feminism is just an aspect of humanism, but its the aspect I am probably the most passionate about, closely followed by GLBT rights), so I care deeply about the injustice and prejudice faced by pretty much anyone not fortunate enough to be born a rich white straight man, in a country that is comparatively free and equal, but nowhere near as much so as it would like you to believe. I'm prone to rants if you get me going, you have been warned.

I also spend way too much time wishing my eyesight could zoom in and out, so I wouldn't have to squint to see things far away....that's probably not a normal thing to be obsessed with but you have to admit, it would be pretty sweet.

On a typical Friday night I am
Honestly, I don't go out all that often. I might go over to my friends house to hang out with a few people. I rarely go out to bars but if most of my friends are going and I have nothing to do, I might join them. I don't have a license so that limits me somewhat (it is on my list of things to do, I just fail epically at parallel parking).

I’m looking for
  • Girls who like guys
  • Ages 20-40
  • Near me
  • Who are single
  • For long-term dating
You should message me if
This may seem weird, coming from a guy, but I never enjoyed the thought of a one night stand. I have never had sex without being in a relationship, and I really don't want to. Meaningless sex is not something that appeals to me, at all.

I created a profile on this website primarily for the purpose of finding a long term relationship with someone I can connect with. As such, that is what I am looking for. I don't want to jump into a relationship but If you're looking for sex buddies or someone to just be friends with and nothing more, you probably want to look elsewhere.

Also, I am an atheist and while I will never try to convert someone, religion is a subject I do not take seriously. I won't attack you for your beliefs or be mean spirited about it, but if you are serious about religion to the point that you can't joke about it, we may not get along very well.
