My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Hi, I'm Chris! I am one of the most cynical optimists that you will ever meet. I generally expect to fail at just about everything I set out to do, but I also have a genuine love for what I do and will always go back to the drawing board with a new set of ideas after a decent learning experience.

My personality type is the INTJ.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I'm an alum of Ball State's English department and do fairly well for myself working at Best Buy and other random jobs here and there. In addition, I play bass and sing for a doom metal band called Spirit Division and have several writing ideas in the back-burner. Ask me about them, it may help me get my ass in gear!
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I'm a pretty objective person and always end up being the mediator in every social group that I'm a part of. I always try to be the type of guy that people can talk to about things that are bothering them and will go out of my way for my friends to almost stupefying degrees.

In addition, I'm a pretty decent planner. Whether it be events planned a couple months in advance or a spur of the moment get together, I'm always the kind of guy that will throw everything at a wall just to see what sticks. Whatever gets me out of the house as much as possible is generally okay by me.

I'm also good at a healthy number of old school video games so if you ever want to come over and break out the Super Mario World or Pokemon Red Version, I'm your man.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'm generally a quiet person though the things that come out of my mouth often confuse people and I can occasionally be rather touchy feely. But in terms of physical matters, I've heard eyes the most often as a reply though I've heard about my ass and shoulders quite a bit.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
My favorite authors are Stephen King, Neil Gaiman, Sherman Alexie, Michael Crichton, Orson Scott Card (Love the man's work but strongly disagree with his views), and John Irving though there are plenty of others. I have too many books on my reading list and will probably never get to them all due to my purchasing rates. As a former English student, I tend to go for books that are largely character-driven, alternate between comedy and drama, and have spiritual, supernatural, and musical themes.

I think my favorite movie is Monty Python and the Holy Grail though I have some other favorites like the original Star Wars trilogy, the Hannibal Lecter films, and everything Pixar makes that isn't Cars. My taste in movies generally consist of quotable comedies, horror/drama films that are actually well thought out, animated films that take into consideration the older viewers that are watching, or just any interesting movies in general.

Some of my favorite bands include Iron Maiden, Black Sabbath, Danzig, Alice in Chains, Pentagram, Motorhead, Alice Cooper, Megadeth, AC/DC, Candlemass, Savatage, Rush, Judas Priest, Saint Vitus, Led Zeppelin, The Doors and too many others. I try to keep an open mind but most of my tastes are within the realms of hard rock and heavy metal genres. I'm also interested in hearing more blues, classical, and jazz. I know I'd be a big fan of my band if I wasn't already in it...

My favorite foods seem to be Italian and Mexican. I could also probably live off of cereal for the rest of my life...
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
The ability to pursue my hobbies. When I am not able to write or perform music, I do not wish to be alive.
My two cats, Jupiter and Midna. I love them more than just about anything else and nothing would ever make me want to get rid of them.
The Internet. People have asked me if I live there and I can't exactly say no.
Companionship. I may be an introvert but I do like having company and affection.
Water. If I don't have it, I will die.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
What I need to be doing differently.
What will get the best responses out of people in professional, promotional, and personal environments.
How adulthood is defined in modern society.
How much of people's limitations are due to hard times and how much of it is due to needing to work harder.

All these and more in my perpetually restless mind!
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Usually a combination of working, reading, writing, and music listening. I also enjoy going to and playing local shows from time to time if you'd care to join me.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I seem to have a specific type of girl that I'm really attracted to: Apparently I've dated a bunch of girls that are insomniacs, workaholics, nerdy, dominant in personality and sexually submissive, politically liberal, raised religious, snarky, blunt, artistic, and curvy.
You should message me if
Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
If you'd like to meet up and talk about nerdy stuff, music, religion, and Life, the Universe and Everything. I'm also on FetLife under PsychicChris if you want to message me there.

But enough about me, I'd like to hear about you.
