I'm definitely an adventurer. I grew up on a farm in North Dakota, but I've lived in 4 other states and the district since college. I'm a traveler, if not a gypsy. I want to see everything and try to meet everyone. I want to know why people do what they do and believe what they believe.

I live in DC, but I'm trying to find some sunshine in sunny Florida for a while.

I work in theatre and seem to only meet theatre people, whom I love, but I'm interested in meeting other people and talking about other things.

I'm extremely laid back. When things go terribly wrong, I laugh. I'm a low maintenance girl. I don't like drama and almost never fight about anything.
I'm very independent. I don't need a man to buy me things, move my furniture, or fix my problems.
Everything is a joke to me. "Too soon?" Never. My life is fair game for jokes as well.
I'm honest- sometimes brutally. If you don't want the truth, don't ask.
Sarcasm- have it, understand it, love it.

I'm trying to switch up my schedule so I can go SEE plays, go to concerts, and generally go out like a real person. I'm also trying to pick up some of the hobbies I've been dreaming about. Things near the top of the list are singing with a band, (Jazz? Bluegrass? something Florence and the Machine-y or Amy Winehouse-y??) joining a Belly dancing troupe, painting, and taking a dance class. I also hear there are karaoke leagues?

I'm always contemplating moving to somewhere I've never been.

I really do work a lot, but I love my work. It is bizarre and constantly changing.

For example: Ben Folds, Frank Sinatra, Florence and the Machine, Billy Joel, The Scissor Sisters, Old Crow Medicine Show, Simon and Garfunkel, The Beatles, CCR, Musicals, Jazz from the 20s-40s, I grew up on Country Music, Prince, Michael Jackson, Amy Winehouse, Aberfeldy etc.

When I go anywhere, I check for the following:
My droid
its charger
my ID or passport
my credit and/or debit card.
Those are all of the things I really need in life..oh and chapstick..

I'm also using this website to find a new reading list from nerdy guys who have similar taste. Is that weird? I'm pretty sure it is...but I really enjoyed the first four books of Song of Fire and Ice, so I'm calling it a win.
