My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Hey, I'm Jake, a ginger college student born in Pennsyltucky and going to college in Philly. I am a nerdy, witty, liberal man who likes to make people smile.

I enjoy stories. Any medium will do: books, movies, pictures, games, smoke signals. Any time period will do, since you can learn a lot about a person from the stories they tell. When someone tells a story, it can be subtle, but you can see his or her most personal views and how their mind functions. I especially like strange or weird stories, since anyone who can construct a narrative like that has a vivid imagination.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I am currently a junior in college studying digital forensics. That is, I want to work with law enforcement by examining computers for evidence. That has been my goal since a few years before I started college.

I am also working at a grocery store right now to make some extra money during college. It's a decent job; I mostly just clean the store by doing things such as taking out the trash and sweeping the floors.

When I'm not doing either of those, I usually like going to Barnes & Noble and reading graphic novels I have no intention of buying.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I am really good at playing the piano. I don't perform much anymore, now I just like playing it for fun. I enjoy it because I can appreciate songs more when I actually "feel" their complexity rather than just hearing the song.

I am a good listener. I am able to listen to other people's problems without judging them. I understand that people will want to vent about their problems to someone, and I will allow that.

Another thing I'm good at is eating lots of bananas. This is a little bit different from the rest, but I do eat a lot of bananas. Like, if I have an entire bunch that's fresh, it won't last an hour.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
When there's a thunderstorm, everyone knows that they should not only avoid standing under tall trees, but that they should also not walk near me.
My natural hair color fascinates many people, some even to the point of not believing me when I say that it's natural.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

BOOKS
A Clockwork Orange, John Dies at the End, A Confederacy of Dunces.
I'm currently reading a book of Icelandic sagas. They're quite fascinating, although tedious at times. Other books on my reading list are Ready Player One and the Song of Ice and Fire series.

MUSIC
Finntroll, Amon Amarth, Korpiklaani, Alestorm, Arkona, Eluveitie, Gloryhammer, Rhapsody
I've never been able to REALLY get into any genre of music but metal. I feel that a lot of European metal acts get really artistic and not afraid to experiment while still being fun to listen to.

MOVIES
(500) Days of Summer, Avengers, Oldboy (the original Korean version, not the American remake)

GAMES
Portal 2, Hotline Miami, Serious Sam
I really enjoy playing video games. My tastes actually tend to vary here, these three are by no means an extensive list.

SHOWS
Now, I don't watch TV, but I do watch Netflix. I'm currently watching a few shows, such as Arrow, Orange is the New Black, and House of Cards. Oh yeah, and I used to LOVE Homestar Runner. Like, quotes from that show still infect my daily speech sometimes. If you remember that show, just shut up and message me now.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.

I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Sometimes, I like to imagine NSA employees are viewing all of my OKCupid exchanges. They are super invested into them. The room looks like that big control room that's always in movies, and everyone in the room is staring breathlessly at the exchange on the big screen in the front. Then, when they see someone agree to date me or give me their number, everyone's ecstatic. Cheering is heard everywhere, arms are flying, men are high-fiving each other, and one guy in a swivel chair turns around and lets out a huge sigh of relief. One guy gets on his phone and calls his wife and says "Honey, start dinner. I'm coming home early." She then replies "He did it?"
"He did it."
She then hangs up, lets out a relieved sigh, and maybe weeps a little in happiness.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Ideally, I'd be going to a metal concert. But... that really only happens about once a month. Really, I'm usually just hanging out with my friends or walking around Chestnut Hill.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I wear earplugs to concerts. Welp, there it goes. I'm no longer metal.

If you live within 250 light microseconds of me. You like silly jokes. You enjoy talking about things you've read or watched, or just anything weird you've noticed.
You should also message me if you want to read a bunch of puns from me.
