Well Hello! I'm Jake. I love poetry and spending my Saturdays clothes shopping with a significant other. Okay... I may have made the poetry and shopping thing up but let me really tell you about me!

I am a full time structural engineer at a consulting firm here in Omaha. I absolutely love my job! I get to work on new unique and challenging projects everyday. It is exciting to see my designs popping up at various locations around Omaha. I just finished helping develop the design for the new Rosenblatt Baseball exhibit at the zoo!

Outside of work, I try to hit the gym about 4 or 5 times a week. I am by no means a gym rat but I do try to keep myself fit. I typically spend the rest of my night cooking dinner and spending time with my puppy. She is a yellow Labrador and my best friend.

I love to go out with friends to bars, restaurants, movies, and friend's houses but I also enjoy a night in watching a movie on the couch.

I graduated with my Masters in Engineering degree in May of this year. Shortly after I moved into the suburbs in West Omaha and started my full-time employment. Like I said earlier I love my job and what I do, but I do make my home life a priority. I am excited to find my other half to enjoy it with.

fun answer: humor. I like to think I have a good sense of humor, I am always quick with a witty comment that usually gets people going. It takes me a little while to warm up to people but once I do, its hard to shut me up!

deep answer: communication and conflict resolution. I truly believe communication is the foundation to any good relationship. I am an open book with people and don't sweep things under the rug. I don't get in fights very often because I try to take the other person's perspective and find common ground and work from that.

my dimples! I am also pretty easy to talk to. I love good conversation!

My absolute favorite movie is Good Will Hunting. The concepts and ideas in that movie were great. Favorite comedy is probably Wedding Crashers. I love The Big Bang Theory and The Office, I could probably recite some of those episodes haha.

I enjoy almost any genre of music except for metal and gospel music. Its really about the individual song vs. the artist or the genre that determines if I like it.

1. Travelling: I have already been to Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Italy, Turkey and Costa Rica. I can't wait for my next big trip and I want YOU to come along!
2. My puppy - she is my best friend!
3. My Iphone - take away music and my communication with others and I am in deep trouble.
4. My job, I would be pretty bored all day! And broke :(
5. Laughter - Life is pretty boring without it!
6. God, Family, and Friends - this is my top priority obviously but it is also a very common (and somewhat obvious) one so I saved it for last on this list.

my future home. Working in the building industry, I see a lot of plans and layouts cross my desk. I am alway trying to pick up ideas and styles to what I want my future dream home to look like one day!
