My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'll try keep this basic and quick to read.

I'm originally from Wrexham, raised between there and the Isle of Wight and I now live in Cardiff.

I'm affectionate. I'm passionate about some things. I'm friendly and approachable.

I'm creative. I have made films (mostly at Uni though) and I act (mainly in theatre but I have done films.) I have always loved to write fiction but have also started writing non-fiction since 2014. I'm a musician, specialising in bass and guitar - and have recorded some albums of various types of music.

I try to stay fit and healthy, and visit the gym when I can though I think life's too short to not be lazy and/or eat junk once in a while - and I love chips n' dips (though I'm fussy over what junk I'll eat based on nutrition or ethics.)

I'm learning the Welsh language and have been teaching myself for a while, able to speak it to a basic, conversational standard. I'd love to meet a fellow speaker/learner to practise with!

I love learning about things and spend a lot time reading (mainly online.) This has given me thought-out left-wing political views but I'm tolerent of other stances. My writing and occasional activism on such things has its fans.

I'd be interested in meeting people to go to gigs or the cinema with, or musicians to jam with, film makers/enthusiasts, people into L.R.P, people who enjoy/participate in theatre and people with other interesting hobbies to do. Just a drink and/or a meal is also cool. :)
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I do various admin jobs for Cardiff council. I also work in a well known concert hall in Cardiff city centre but get so few hours it's barely worth mentioning.

I used to work in film/media a lot more than I do now and would like to get more into that again. I still (rarely) get work in those sort of fields but nothing long term etc yet.

I did spend 6 years working in social care helping the mentally ill, mentally disabled, physically disabled and substance addicts.

I socialise, go to the gym, go to gigs, do a bit of LRP, write, act, make music, do political campaigning/protests/activism (not so much for enjoyment, I just think these things matter) and I visit far away friends and family sometimes...
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I love good food and so I am a keen cook. I'm told I'm good at it by many people. I'm best at saucy stuff like pasta, curry, chilli, etc cawl too, but I can make all sorts.

I care very much about the people in my life and so I like to think I'm good at being there for them; that I can see different views and give half decent advice or comfort.

I'm told that I'm good at massages! (Any part of the body too)

It's a matter of opinion as to whether I'm a good actor/writer/musician/etc. I both have fans and critics.

I've had good feedback in other areas too. ;)
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'm not sure, there are a few things I've heard such as physical attributes (eyes or smile usually) or personality traits. I guess it depends on what I'm doing when someone first meets me or sees me. If you contact me or meet me, let me know what you noticed first!

Dw i ddim yn sicr. Oes ychedig pethau sy'n ron i wedi clwyd fel golwg corfforol (lygaid neu gwen yn arferol) neu nodweddion personoliaeth. Mae'n dibynnydd yn beth dwi'n wneud pan rhywun yn gwrdd a fi. Os ti'n sgwrs neu cwrdd a fi, dweudwch a fi beth wyt ti wedi sylwi yn cyntaf!
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Books... I wish I had time to read books more than I do (same can be said for playing computer games). I like anything with a good, well told story really. But I tend to read things like historical fiction or stuff that's about something bit different or unusul. Most of my reading is not a book but online and it's usually on current affairs or economics or something.

Movies... Again, anything with a good story that's told well. But I tend to watch comedies, fantasies, thrillers and a bit of drama. I love the Nolan vein of Batman films (I'm a fan of Batman in general) and the Lord of The Rings among many others. Some random other films I like District 9, Falling Down, Bicentinial Man and The Truman Show.

TV Shows... I like to watch a lot of comedy; sitcoms such as Peep Show or The Big Bang Theory, panel shows such as QI or Mock The Week or adult cartoons like South Park, Family Guy or Archer etc.
I also like anything by Charlie Brooker such as Weekly Wipe..
Drama or fantasy/historical drama, stuff like Game Of Thrones and Arrow are good examples.
Documentaries and current affairs too. I also like watching stuff on YouTube - including sometimes shows I used to watch on TV years ago.

Music. I like good music from any genre. But I prefer heavy genres like rock, punk or metal. I especially like bands that incorporate a mix of styles such styles like The Wildhearts, Therpay?, Face To Face, Metallica and Skindred. I also like traditional music like folk, classical or world music and mellow things like reggae, lounge/chill out or ambient music.

Food. British food, Mediterranean food and Indian food are my favourites but, like with the other stuff, whatever the type, if it's of a good standard I'll probably like it.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
1) My loved ones; my friends and family. Life has much to offer, one of the best things is the love between people. So much of what else life can offer is so much better shared with these people too.

2) Art in all its forms - be it film, theatre, music, writing, etc. Without it I wouldn't know so many of my friends, I doubt it'd be the man I am today, it's possible I wouldn't even be here. I enjoy being entertained by it, educated, stimulated, provoked by it, helped through hard times by it. I enjoy consuming art by others and creating it with others or by myself.

3) Good food - be it made by me or someone else. It's one of those great things life offers - and better shared. Certainly, I like it when other people eat food I've made and let me know they enjoyed it.

4) Exercise - it keeps me fit and strong, which makes doing everything else much easier. It also helps me look and feel better. Feeling better also helps make everything else I do easier.

5) Peace or sanctuary - life can get stressful and having places to go and relax is important, the home needs to be one of them. It's awful if you cannot relax or be happy in your own home.

6) Sorry if it sounds pervy but I don't like to go for too long without sexual actvity. High libido.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Many things. The past, the future... mine or just in general.

Deep or heavy stuff like human nature, the purpose of existense, politics, philosophy... all sorts.

Creative stuff like ideas for songs or stories/films.

Soppy stuff like people I care about (especially if I have reason to worry about them).

Dumb stuff like something funny I saw... as I said; many things.

Sawl pethau. Y gorffennol, y dyfodol... fy'n neu mewn cyffredinol. Defnydd dwfn fel anian dynol, yr amcan fodolaeth, gwleidyddiaeth a materion arall. Defnydd creadigol fel syniadau am caniadau neu storiâu/ffilmiau. Defnydd teimladol fel pobl dwi'n garu (yn arbennig os mae gen i achos i phoeni amdanhw). Defnydd twp fel rhwyun digrif weldodd i... Felly dweudodd i; sawl pethau.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
I have no typical Friday night. I might go out on the town, I might stay in and watch TV (rest after a hard week), quality time with someone I care about, watching a play/gig, working over night. I could be doing a number of things, really.

Does dim Nos Gwener nosweddiadol gen i. Mae'n bosib dwi'n allan yn y dre, neu yn aros i mewn yn gwylio teledu (yn gorffwys ar ôl wythos yn brysur), amser dda gyda rhywun dw i'n ofal amdan, yn gwylio drama/cyngherdd, gwaith drw'r nos. Gallwn i wneud nifer pethau, yn wir.
