My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.

I'm fascinated differences and similarities between cultures. I'm creatively technical. I enjoy the balance between the artistic/emotional and the logical side of things. I recently took up painting on canvas (as opposed to digital) and loving it. Trying to get more into traditional arts to balance the digital side. I work a technical job and often need to enjoy the arts outside of work.

It's quite hard to offend me. I like to believe that I'm very open-minded. I love to be astonished by life and will say "wow" to many mundane things. I'm always joyful after a situation shakes my beliefs and make me aware of prejudices I had and transform them in new awareness of myself and others. I will say what I mean and mean what I say...most of the times ;)

As in all things, a passion is key! I'm very much attracted by warm, genuine, free-spirited and self-aware people who have a passion. I could say that I enjoy people that have that elusive "old soul". I have huge respect for people who challenge me to learn or open my mind to new ways of seeing life, the universe, and everything.

I'm big fan of the occasional electronic music festivals. Had some of the best times of my life at these events. I witnessed extremely beautiful sights and truly great atmosphere at one of these. Looking forward to early April for the last live performance of Vibrasphere in Montreal.

- Happiness: simple things like an evening in good company, a great meal, a new taste totally foreign to me, a gathering of friends.
- Summer: biking, rollerblading and road trips.
- Winter: bloody snowball fights with willing participants...and humongous quantities of hot chocolate. ;)

Oh, I'm also a French guy with a good grasp and interest in English people.

Guidebook to my heart in friendship and in love:

Warm and positive people, thoughtful and self-aware. Positively complex or uncomplicated. People who have a passion and light up when they talk about it. I value authenticity above all and tend to like a little bluntness in people. I'm turned on by both body and mind and seek balanced people.

Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Eclectic taste in music.
Music is taking more and more place in my life lately.
I love piano of any genre, movie soundtracks, electronica (especially Minimal Tech, progressive and some hardstyle), blues and Johnny Cash. Farewell by Apocalyptica is the tune that makes me feel the most of "whatever I'm feeling" at the moment I'm listening to it.

Best Books
Hyperion Cantos, the best tetralogy ever, by Dan Simmons. Mind expanding books for the future, time and space dreamers.

Another favorite author with a great style is Neal Stephenson. Other books I've enjoyed include The Diamond Age, Snow Crash, Anathem, Ilium, Olympos, the original Dune series, Foundation series, Hominid, etc. Any other you would recommend?

Movies I like in a somewhat not so random order
Gattaca, Léon, Immortal Beloved, Blade Runner, Le fabuleux destin d'Amélie Poulin (Amelie), The Fifth Element, Duplicity, most movies with Gary Oldman... this list is so endless!

Well scripted television
I cherish a good story and a good script. I haven't watched a lot of shows lately but here is a sample of favorites: Rome, Deadwood, True Blood, Weeds, Dexter, Firefly and a past favorite, Babylon 5.

I'm a foodie. I like quality and really enjoy making entrées and finger food.

I love Vietnamese, Thai, fine cuisine and shawarma! I like pretty much every kind of food except typical big chain fast-food. Unless I have to choose between fast food and fast food, I won't complain ;)
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
- Dancing all night to awesome beats
- Human warmth
- Awesome friends
- Honesty and authenticity
- The Google
- Photoshop
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
- The reason for the existence of the universe.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
probably relaxing from the week and getting ready for a cool Saturday! Or at the movie theater?
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
A kernel of fun in a shell of wonder.
