My self-summary
Hi, I'm Justin. I'm looking to make a connection with someone, and get to know them. No sugar coating here, I'm looking for someone to fall in love with! I miss the holding hands, the staring into each other's eyes, and all the other stuff a few of you may make fun of me for committing to writing! I'm a realist though, so I realize I am much more likely to make an amazing friend or two through this site. Can I hope for both though? :) I am self employed, which is normally awesome. But not so great for meeting people! I'm an adventurer, bicycle lover, part time metal head (though I like lots of other music too!), and foodie.

Love life beta: I fall in love too quickly, forgive easily, and dream large. COMMUNICATION is KEY! My ideal relationship and what comes to mind is...... one where we exchange massage as often as possible, doing something active together everyday, always willing to compromise, eating mostly healthy, setting goals together and working toward them, showing each other appreciation and respect on an on going basis. Giving and receiving tons of affection (public or private!).
What I’m doing with my life
I own a vintage bike shop called "Bike Recyclery". My "job" consists of traveling around the country (via car and the interwebs and postal service) buying up cool old bikes/parts, restoring them, and listing them on my website to sell to cyclists and collectors all over the world. I also take little guiding jobs here and there for fun (I worked wilderness therapy for a year, and have guided bicycle and ATV trips). These days, you'll most likely find me maintaining my website at one of our fine coffee establishments, restoring bikes in my shop, or riding some sweet singletrack. Rough life I live! I am sarcastic, always up for random adventures, and easy going. If a road trip to a cool location is offered, I'll rarely turn it down!
I’m really good at
I'm really good at listening, athletic feats, riding and fixing bikes, writing, etc.
The first things people usually notice about me
My eyes :) Or my high level of energy.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
MOVIES: Horror, comedy, drama, historical fiction, I can do it all. Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy, Pulp Fiction, Virgin Suicides, Natural Born Killers, Running with Scissors, Harry Potter, Golden Compass, Girl Interrupted, Little Witches, Empire Records, American Beauty, The Shining, People Under The Stairs, The Ring, Teeth, ...

MUSIC: When I was younger I was strictly a metalhead. Luckily for everyone around me I've branched out. Jazz/Blues/Classical (SRV, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Parlour Mob), lots of classic rock (Beatles, Floyd, Zeppelin, America, Motley Crue, Aerosmith), Edgy female singers (Dresden Dolls, Regina Spektor, Tracy Bonham, Emily Autumn, Jewel, Fiona Apple, Warpaint, Austra, Lana Del Rey), alternative (311, Silverchair, STP, NIN, Soundgarden, Poe, Cranberries, Pearl Jam, Kidney Thieves, Jack off Jill, Linkin Park), and of course the metal (Metallica, Pantera, Slayer, Otep, Megadeth, Nightwish, Mastadon, Genitorturers, Alice in Chains, Tool, White Zombie, Within Temptation, Cradle of Filth, Dimmu Borgir, Rammstein, Gravity Kills), even a bit of dubstep. I could go on for years...

BOOKS: Big fan of horror/suspense (Graham Masterton, Edward Lee, Jack Ketcham, John Saul, King), off the wall comedy (anything by Christopher Moore!), some random's like The Road by Christopher McCarthey, It's all about the Bike, etc). In line to read next are Into the Wild, A Small Death in Lisbon, and some more Masterton.

TV: True Blood, Lost Girl, Warehouse 13, Big Bang Theory, How I Met Your Mother, Friends, Covert Affairs, House, Dead Like Me, Almost Human, Scrubs

FOOD: Does chocolate count as a food group?! Besides all that dark chocolate, I try to eat pretty healthy, and cook fairly often (even more when I have someone to cook for!) Can't go wrong with seafood, pizza, Italian, Mediterranean, ICE CREAM, Indian, etc.
The six things I could never do without
1) My bikes!
2) Good friends
3) My guitar
4) Chocolate
5) Dogs
6) Human touch
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Bikes? But seriously....

Philosophy: As Americans we work too much, and are not free enough. I try to live my life a bit differently than what could be considered "traditional". The worst reason to do something, is simply because it's been done this way for years. Think outside the box, and your mind can escape! I don't fit in this box of social norms, and have no plan to! Life is meant to be enjoyed and shared. Go with the flow of what life throws at you. When in doubt, go HIGHER!
On a typical Friday night I am
I LOVE everything outdoors, but my favorites are mountain biking, backpacking, road biking / cycling, hiking, and dabbling in kayaking/climbing/skiing. In the winter I'm a climbing gym rat :) I'm a big fan of music, whether be it live or blaring from my guitar amp. I love to read or watch movies when I have a slow night, especially when cuddled up to someone special! Taking walks with good company is always a good choice. Especially when they can lead to a craft beer or coffee! Fair warning though, I'm known for wandering around for hours, so you'll likely have to tell me when your legs have had enough :) In general, my favorite thing to do is explore!
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
Time for the disclaimers: I am: Non-smoker, occasional drinker, Non-religious. I do not want kids (unless my bikes or future pets count!). Warning: hanging out with me may raise your adrenaline levels :)

You're a non-conformist who loves bikes, loves adventure, and/or are just freaking rad :D I'm really looking for a serious relationship, but adventure buddies are always good too (just be sure to tell me if you're not looking for a relationship!)
